  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got the lovely Genesis to connect with my cell phone blue tooth. How do I go about downloading all my cell phone numbers that I have programmed into my cell phone, into the car's system. Right now, all I can do is hear and speak with my caller hands free.

Once i get my phone numbers loaded into the car, what happens when I add new numbers to my phone (or delete a number that I no longer use?) ...do I have to do a whole reload?

I'm sure it's in the DIS manual, but I haven't figured that part out yet. Thanks!

Re: Question about Bluetooth

Actually it is not possible to download your contacts from your cell phone into the Genesis :( Sorry.

I'm going to move this into the Bluetooth, etc forum just in case someone else has better insight or knows of future Software upgrades that will enable this feature.

Ditto to what Crupp said.

What I did was to add the names/numbers I use most often to the Genesis. When I want to call another number that is programmed into my cell phone, or when I want to call a number that is not programmed into my cell phone, I just dial it from my cell phone, and it connects through the car bluetooth.

I could be wrong, but if memory serves me, once you make the call that is not already in the car bluetooth, you go to previous calls in the cars screen, pick that number, then push the knob to the right, and one of the options will be to save that number. Like I said, I could be wrong, but I'm sure I've seen it in my screen.

I have an LG-VU 920, and I can't upload my contact list either. I went back to the dealer and they actually paired several phones for me to prove that this feature does work. I'm trying to get a list of compatible phones now. Depending on how many contacts you have, this feature may or may not be important to you.
