  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Bought $43000 Lemon! 3.8 AWD 2015 Genesis

I've gone thru the lemon law here in Calif. with a Pontiac G8 and had a lot worse issues than what you are having. Maybe the laws are different in Va but here in Calif, your issues wouldn't make the lemon law.

And if they have fixed the issue, there is no longer a issue to go after the lemon law.

Hi. Thank you for your support. Im live in VA and the lemon vary from each state to state. And also there is federal lemon if you dont fit in state lemon law that you might consider it.

Any updates on this ? thanks

Hi LA. I also bought a lemon car. The day i took my older Hyundai and got a 2015 i noticed a big difference in the engine sound... almost sounds like a diesel. They told me it was fine. It still sounds laud. I was contacted by the Hyundai "feedback group". I filled out their questions online. They sent an email back and said that after further investigating that my only complaint was the laud engine noise, they said they could not help anymore. FUNNY. and now with the tire recall: Hyundai america send out notices to owner regarding replacing the Hankook tires "that have too much road noise"... great.. get me new tires!... BUT WAIT!! They didnt tell anyone that they are also making your car less sporty by changing the performance curve and top speed rating. They are doing this by changing the governor on the 2015 Genesis. Dont believe me ? search this: genesis governor recall tire slower speed reports . click on the consumer reports website.

This has been discussed many times on this forum. The top speed that they reduced the governor to is still way over 100 MPH (don't recall the exact number), and far higher than anyone should be driving.

IIRC, the top speed was limited to 135mph. That made the V6 even slower

Interesting. My car came equipped with the 96V Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires which have a "V" speed rating of 149 mph. I seriously doubt that the V6 could get there downhill and with a tail wind. My '06 Sonata had no governor and could easily reach 135 mph (with 80k miles, I doubt it can do that now). A open public highway with no traffic at 120 mph is very narrow.
