  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I use the Professional version.

Half ounce to every gallon of 93. That gets me to 99 octane.

So a full tank (16 gallons) would be 8 ounces (1/4 bottle of Pro).

I wish we had 93 here.
According to their chart to get from 93 to 98 is only a little over 1/3 of an ounce.

So for me 91 to 98 would be .92 oz

Beefer looks like you’d be at 99.4 or so with .5 oz per gal. Nice number.

So 5 gallons of e54 and the last 3 ounces of my Boostane I calculate to net me about 98.5 octane. Tried map 5 and found that map 3 produces what seems like more power. And 0 to 60 times are quicker on map 3. Although I see people talking about not having enough traction because the tires are trying to spin up I could never get mine to spin up no matter what I do whether it’s just the roads around here and 105° the tires are so sticky or the high heat is limiting the horsepower but I’m happy on map 3.

I heard Map 5 loves 103+ octane. Not just heard...pretty much know ;)

Now that I think about it...I did try Map 5 on 99 octane and the car didn’t like it. That’s why I’m staying on Map 3. Not paying crazy money do go over 103 octane.

So...Map 3 is nuts right? Especially over 20 mph or so. Should be insane.

My tires never let loose either (AWD). Picture doing the burn out switch...dear Lord!

Yeah map 3 is plenty I think especially in this heat. Will see how it performs when we go up to Oregon next summer for a week on the coast should be in the mid-70s in a probably be even more insane 🤪. I don’t think I’ll be messing with map 5 much.

Just to compare went from map 3 to map 0 and it was like am I driving the wife’s G37 again?

Have you messed with future use D bit7: more conservative pedal based boost target mapping?

Funny things is that Map3 runs fine on the 2.0T on pump gas!

I have not. Performance is not affected anyway.

Where do you live again?

May run fine...but you’d be surprised if you up the octane. Try it once for kicks.

Ouch.

I went out for a nice drive today. 72!!!! Turbos loved it.

Sure rub it in. 😒

But come wintertime December January we won’t be freezing our ass off it’ll be mid 70s pretty much every day

I’m in VA. Sometimes we’ll get 50’s and 60’s. Less and less though.

Ya Vegas is 103 right now with like 30 percent humidity. Car air worth squat right now lol

Unfortunately we only have the dishwater PetroCan 94 here which is terrible. Could try some Shell 93. But for the mileage I drive, Boostane is out of the question. We used to have an E85 station here but now they don’t sell anymore.
