  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Unfortunately we only have the dishwater PetroCan 94 here which is terrible. Could try some Shell 93. But for the mileage I drive, Boostane is out of the question. We used to have an E85 station here but now they don’t sell anymore.
Try it once...just to see. Get one bottle of Professional. Empty your tank...fill up with 93...add 8 oz of the BOOSTane Pro. That’ll put you at 99 octane. Then run Map 3.

I’ll have to give it a go. But winter blend fuel starts on September 15th!

Update on jb4 ownership so far, runs like a charm literally transformed the car into a BEAST the power delivery in sport mode is just insane... curious to try out map 3 but having RWD makes it very dangerous because even on just map 2 the slightest curve in the road while WOT will take you sideways... but anyways its tons of fun and anyone looking jnto getting a jb4 i highly recommend it.
I wonder how much a difference downpipes would make.

That’s called drifting and it’s a blast once you don’t freak out an learn to power through. 😎

Indeed, I’d rather not burn through sets of tires, I have enough holes in my pockets with this car as it is 😂😳
Well I always say more fun more mon(ey).
I had a 68 Javelin when I was 17 and used to go through a set of Mickey Thompson M50/15’s every 6-8 weeks. It was a love hate relationship with my Line-Loc.

Nice man!!! I think I'm going to order one. So please tell me are you running 91 only? I live in California all we get is 91. So map 1 or 2 is all im going to stay at. Easy to install? Did you get the Bluetooth version? Fuel wires? How did that all work out? Any issues with reliability, install, engine codes? Or is it all smooth sailing? How much better does the car feel? Would love to know.. Very close to ordering one. Did you end up changing your plugs as well or are you running stock plugs?

Its been running very smooth, I have 93 octane here so im daily driving it on map 2. I know it is fine to run map 2 on 91.
As far as installation goes the jb4 and fuel wires were very easy to install the only tricky part was the OBDII Cable, which isn’t mandatory but if you want the jb4 reading and knowing everything going on with the engine and car it is highly recommended and safer this way. Zero problems not a single fault code or anything and ive been driving the heck out of it. The car feels amazing running on this boost level. I got the Bluetooth version but what they don’t say about choosing bluetooth is having to take the jb4 apart and wire up the bluetooth to the jb4 yourself, no idea why they don’t do that for you considering the price we already pay for it. for the spark plugs i did get the denso plugs on the burgertuning website so i bought everything together took it to a shop got them gapped at .022” and installed ($200). So all in all I definitely recommend this if you want more power. Its an unbelievable difference for how easy it is.

Thanks man, appreciate all your input. Enjoy that tune on the G70! :)

If you plan on going the cable route, make sure you’re using the Windows interface. The Mac interface is very outdated and does not log certain parameters. For example there is no way to tell if fuel wires are actually working based on the Mac interface. The push seems to be towards the mobile interface since it is more profitable.

In case you didn’t know...OBDII is required for Maps 2 and higher.

So...if you just want Map 1...no OBDII needed and stock plugs (with stock gap) are fine.

I do not have a windows based computer, just an android phone and chromebook. Is a windows based computer needed for installation or updates?

Has anyone tried map7? Or know of or read of anyone else using it? I’m wondering how it handles with out the boost being tapered I can get my hands on some 114 octane race gas just wondering if there is any data on it

Not I. You need race gas.
