How has the new piece been holding up?
Anyone having this issue on a 2020 G70? Looking at mine it sure looks like the plastic trim piece is matt black so would be odd if it was coated with something? No issues so far. View attachment 29814
1700 miles on mine, no issues yet. Maybe this was fixed on the 2020? I'll def keep an eye out. I am so far the only one with the faded door controls but the parts are on order and will be replaced this week when they come in.
Looks to me the protective film is still covering up the bottons/controls. Its real thin, so try peeling off. Or use an adhesive remover as maybe the adhesive is still on them?
Had a very similar issue with the fading of a button. They replaced it and it's been good since1700 miles on mine, no issues yet. Maybe this was fixed on the 2020? I'll def keep an eye out. I think I'm seeing it on one of my buttons. I thought I saw it like the first week or so, but it looked more like it was due to shadows/reflections. I'll be asking dealer to replace when I do my first oil change. At least that's if I can't clean it off.... haven't tried yet.I have the same issue since one year
I just started seeing it on one button on my passenger side. Had my car since April. I'll definitely mention it when I take it in for its first service.Just got my 2021 two weeks ago and have the same issue. Driver, passenger, and rear all faded.
