This weekend while returning home I had the check engine light come on and stay on in my 4.6 Genesis. As probably everyone know's this has got to be one if the most annoying idiot lights ever put in any car! I have had these lights come on in other vehicles. Sometimes they go off finally and sometimes they don't.
Many times they don't end up even meaning anything other than a sensor getting a brief reading that something is outside of the optimum operating condition for the emission control system so says my service dept.
I am wondering if our recent severe weather conditions of -20F to -30F degree's below zero contributed to the light coming on. I had that happen on another vehicle that I had once.
Of course as soon as I can get it in to the service department I will have it checked out. Just curious..................anyone else have their check engine light come on yet? Thanks!
