  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Since we don't have any vendors taking care of our performance needs, I am starting my own Genesis & Equus Performance Division. Using Abel Racing as my manufacturer, I have worked out group pricing if enough people are interested.

Im interested... curious though what possible problems I could have with the dealer with the intake/exhaust modifications...

I have read the other threads about the law that was passed in the 70's protecting auto owners... but want to make sure Im clear as to what liability Id be taking by doing these mods to my new car with 1k miles on it... I know there are people here that say the MAF will not allow a significant boost through intake adjustments, but my other complaint on the car is that the exhaust note just doesnt sound mean enough for all those ponies... Im kinda looking for a best bang for the buck sound upgrade... performance would be nice also though :)

Im a complete noob when it comes to mechanical issues... so some explination on how the cat delete and electric exhaust cutout work would be helpful :)

Is the intake going to come with a box to block out engine heat? From what I seen thus far (only had car for a week) the heat from these engines are...WOW!!!! I don't believe those dyno numbers will hold up in real world driving conditions with that engine heat! Additionally with a heat box or some type of ducting system From what I saw from photos I could create the same effect with PCV pipe and a filter...

I already ordered the MSA cat-deletes, however put me down for the intake, ready to order ASAP

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Has anybody tuned their 5.0?

My dealers give me thumbs up! But, it's always a point of concern if problems arise in the area of upgrades. Air intake is bolt on and very common.

The horse power gains of 15-32hp I quote we're proven on dyno before and after install of parts. Your reference to boost might relate to turbo powered cars. These upgrades are air management and allow less restriction of air flow and hot gases while allowing more cold air in at the beginning of the combustion cycle. For the money, you can't touch these gains.

For sound, the air intake is cool. You hear more growl
from motor.

I want to do a cool box too. Nice extra step against heat concerns.

Interested parties pm me please for details.
