  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dealer Oil Change

I will purchase maybe 4 of them along with air filters in the US and deliver them to my US address.
I suspected you had a US address. I have sold stuff to Canadians on Ebay and many of them have a US address at a Mail Box store just across the border.

Don't forget those cabin filters. They need to be changed more often than the air filter, as they can get dirty and moldy really fast, and when that happens it cuts down on your car's HVAC system efficiency.

My first dealer oil change on the 2015 5.0 was free and on my previous Genny they have only charged me $28 with a $7 rebate which brings it to $21. Plus they wash it.

My dealer did the first oil change for free, including synthetic oil. I thought it was a nice perk from a good dealer (Burns Hyundai in NJ) .

However, I was wrong - when I went to install foglights last weekend, I discovered that they had not reinstalled 6 out of 10 of the push-in plastic fasteners on the 2 front bottom panels: all 4 on the right side of the front panel and both of the plastic connectors on the rear panel (and there are only 2 of them on that panel!). One if the fasteners on the front panel helps make sure one of the wheel well panels doesn't move - and, since it was missing, the wheel well inner panel had shifted out of the correct position!

Even worse, was that they were not at all apologetic about their error! I have forwarded a complaint about this sloppy work and poor dealer attitude to Hyundai USA. Needless to say that they've lost a service customer and any future auto purchases from them. This was a completely inexcusable experience for a $50K car! This same dealer made a big deal about their special, more luxurious Genesis Lounge waiting room - while a nice intent, this just proves they should have spent that money on training their techs and customer service folks to do their jobs instead!

I almost fell out of my chair when I asked how much after the initial oil change and they said $93 for dino oil which means non synthetic. I guess this is the last time they see me unless it is for a recall. Only work which was done was an oil change. It's not so much the price which is crazy stupid for a simple oil change, it's the appointment which takes a week to get, then you need to wait in line with a bunch of other people waiting for work to be done. Jiffy lube is so quick and convenient no wonder they thrive. FYI my previous Gen 1 never saw the dealer either because of the similar issues however after the purchase of the 2015 I figured I would try them again, they failed miserably.

My first Service was free but i asked about the next one, lady at hyundai delaership told me it is $39.99. She also handed me some coupons. So my next three services are $20.00 including tyre rotation. I live in Detroit, Michigan.
