  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dealers with 2019s

^ They should continue the concierge service but the loaner you receive may not be a Genesis. The rule for Genesis is usually 60 miles although that can be extended if the situation calls for it.

Not sure if the rules have changed, but at one point I was told that the Concierge service was available for customers within 30 minutes (some dealerships I talked to were willing to stretch it for 40 minutes). If the only Genesis dealers are an hour or more distant, will concierge service still be available if I purchase a new Genesis?
My dealer told me 50 miles. He is about an hour away at that distance.

I really feel duped by Genesis. Don't ask, don't tell is their policy. If I knew all this I would have never gotten involved. I had a repair and it took 8 days in Phoenix area with 4 Hyundai dealerships. I see Genesis slowly sinking, especially the G90 which has no national advertising.

About 6 months ago I was seriously considering the G80 but due to the dealership/inventory situation at the time I decided to get something different. If and when the Genesis brand gets their dealership situation sorted out I'll give it another look.

It's just a shame that the brand can't take full advantage of the positive reviews that all of the models are receiving. I'm sure the brand and the dealers are trying to move as fast as they can, but it seems like still a lot of disarray out there which won't impress potential new customers to the brand.

Wow that is so refreshingly more positive than all your other duplicative posts.

Duped in what way? Yes, you had a serious problem but it was fixed.

Until all the dealers are in place and have inventory, there is little reason to spend heavily on advertising nationally, but there are doing some things. Perhaps you don't watch those venues.

Duped, that I had no idea there was not a dealership where ever I traveled all over the US. I live in Phoenix, with family in Tucson. If I have a need to have emergency service while in Tucson, it is not available to me. I have smelled coolant 3 times since the o rings were changed. My confidence is quite low in Genesis.

No luxury brand offers a dealership in every city. ;)

Anyways, I think maybe we should end this discussion on here since it is a sticky for the dealer information.

I can go to Tucson which is the 2nd largest city outside of the Phoenix area in Arizona and get any other luxury car serviced. Genesis is the only one I am aware of that cannot get service. I don't expect service in small towns, Tucson is not a small town.

Genesis is a new brand and is adding dealers every week. They already have more than some of the brands that have been around for decades.

Unfortunately, you've chosen to keep the negative thoughts from your single bad experience. You have a great car but won't let yourself enjoy it. The best thing you can do for yourself at this point is to trade in in and be done and enjoy life again.

I've driven two Genesis thousands of miles from home and never gave a second thought about service. I enjoy the trip but until you let go, you never will. Every one of your posts has been negative. Is there nothing you like about the car? The radio? Smooth ride? Room in the back seat?

When I was on vacation in North Carolina I had decided that I would stop by a Lexus dealer to look at the 2019 ES350. Unfortunately, I discovered that there are no Lexus dealers in Asheville where I happened to be, but I still assumed I would be able to get to one in a reasonable distance. Turned out there are no Lexus dealers at all in the western areas of North Carolina beyond Charlotte.

So, does that mean that Lexus is failing?

Based on my experience with Lexus, I would not trust my car to be serviced by a Lexus dealer. I owned 3 Lexus cars and one of them was the most unreliable car I have ever owned. So, from my personal experience, I have moved on from Lexus and will not purchase another one.
Every car dealer has some issues. Depending on how the dealer handles the issue can, for me, can make it or break it. Lexus handled the issues horribly, so I moved on to another brand. I have owned 2 Hyundai's with no issues at all, and one Genesis.
It may simply be that this car is not for you and you should move on.

Genesis is not willing to let me out of my lease. I have already asked. I will not incur additional costs because Genesis had two opportunities to fix my vehicle before the system failure. This is fact, if you call it negative it's your opinion. I have stated repeatedly I love the car, the support system to maintain it, not so much.

Got it. Had not realized it was a lease--and I would not take a hit/loss either. Genesis is, I would think, hoping that the remainder of your lease years is so enjoyable (and the network substantially improved) that it offsets your not-so-great initial experience. I have not read thru all you have been thru--but hope it improves. :)

Few more dealers received their first shipments, we now have 289 dealers with inventory. My dark horse state has come through, Hawaii is now on the watchlist.

For those wondering, SoCal added a lot of inventory this week!

Inching closer to the 300 dealer mark, up to 293. Hawaii is the lone state on the watchlist.
What kind of ridiculous hoops are having to be jumped through in Colorado??? It cannot be that difficult to type out Genesis of (fill in city here) on a dealership application and for the person at the state to click accept on their screen. I am seriously going out of my mind  The complete stupidity that is the combined IQ's of the team at Genesis and the Colorado DMV is astounding.

Sorry, had to vent

Not a problem, that is what we are here for. ;) At this point I'm not very confident that any dealers have decided to take a franchise, hopefully I'm wrong.

That may well be correct but seems crazy.
