  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Debadging G70

I'm not a fan of a full de-badge. I think it looks like the car was rear-ended and repaired at a cheap body shop. So I will usually leave the manufacturer logo and just a trim badge. So I would go with the wings and G70 badge only. But I would relocate the G70 badge to the lower right or left of the trunk lid. It would reduce clutter but still look OE, while also being custom. I plan to have my G70 in a couple weeks, so I'll post pictures.
Makes zero sense.

He was not a teenager in the 50's or 60s. Everything comes off, front and back. Back they we had to fill holes and repaint too. If it was good enough for George Barris, it was good for us too.

I'm ok with just debadging the trim (i.e., the "3.3" on the back). However, relocating the G70 badge? I dunno man.

Wife’s hairdryer, dental floss, some goo gone, then a polish/seal/wax. Easiest 15-minute mod i’ve done in a while. No ghosting after the polish.

Hopefully there’s a template available in case i ever want to reinstall.

I created one. Photos plus drawing with measurements. Just lemme know.

If I've had the car for about 6 months will they still come off easy? Should I just use a hair dryer and cc?

The Wings can not be debadged. The OEM site shows it has a round pin and an oval pin.
I think this has been discussed in various places but thought I’d let you all know I removed my HTRAC badge very easily after about two months of owning the car.

Just pried it off with a credit card. The adhesive was still soft, so the rest picked off easily with my fingers. No need for solvent or anything.

I like the look with G70 and 3.3T alone a lot better

Of course they can, however you have to fill a couple of holes and paint. That was done all the time years ago.

Okay, but people should know that, and on the most visible front crowd of the car, that's not cheap if done right. Fair enough?

Yeah, the locating pins bite big time. I'd loose it all if it weren't for that. And I'm not going to pay the cost for the black painted ones.
