  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Debadging the "Genesis" logo on trunk lid. Pictures needed.

Per general consensus.
It's final! For time being.

LOL
Unless I wanted to melt the housing cover.
It is a 6 watt LED by spec.
Its top is almost hitting the cover when installed. See picture above.
A few seconds (when backing out the car in the driveway) probably won't be long enough to do so but driving in reverse might.:D

Any pictures of you backed up towards a wall or something to be able to see what the output is like? Or with the reverse lights on parked on an empty road.

My phone camera doesn't do justice, especially in darkness.
My regular Canon camera is on loan at the moment.
I took this during the day time, in cloudy sky weather.

Here is my "2015 wing" as supplied by Korean Auto Imports. Looks mighty nice I thing "big" and came with tabs removed. Wing is located 2 15/16 inch from the top of the chrome strip to the upper tip of the wing (someone asked).

Here is the photo, 2014 Rspec thanks to all the post regarding do's and don'ts and methods to apply. As previously stated this wing came from Korean Auto Imports and had the alignment post removed.

^Would you take another pic about 10 ft out so the whole rear can be seen, outdoor would be great?
TY

It looks very nice.

Here is another photo.

Thanks for the photo, I think I am going to replace mine with the newer version.

Are you going to add it on the hood too? I'm curious to see how it would look.

Not planning on touching the hood. just happy with what I have here, like to keep things simple and clean. The difference between the original wing and the "15" wing is significantly better. As I recall my 2010 trunk wing looked a bit undersized...this is subtly large but not in your face, more Bentley looking.

Bought mine used from Carmax, so here's the metamorphosis of my rear, LOL:

ORIGINAL

NO MORE "CARMAX" OR "GENESIS"

NO MORE FLYING H

Because this was my third Hyundai from CarMax, I had become an expert at debadging, so I simply waited for a hot day to peel off the "CarMax" and "Genesis" logo/lettering and the flying H was done with a heat gun. Videpho, I really like those bright back up LED's! May have to copy you! :D

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
^Love the clean look of her rear end. :D
Once the current look on mine starts to wear off then N.F.L.
By all means please go for the reverse LED.
It's one of those mods that improves not just for the look but for the safety of the surroundings.
Another pic i took from the r/v monitor.

Gave her a nice clean bath today after it's been raining almost everyday for the last week or two.:D

It's getting hot so protect her inside with a nice quality screen shade reflector.:)
And it fits the windshield screen like a glove.:D
