Dipstick Tip Broken off

You will have to change the entire plastic transmission pan to change the filter since the filter and pan are one unit. However, it seems simple enough like the spark plugs.
Yes I was looking at that. That is a little different than I am used to seeing. Filling it up looks to be a little tricky. Thanks for the info car carguy75

I did the diff a couple weeks ago . Before I did ,I asked Hyundai how much for them to do it and he said with only 31k on car it did not need it. Well anyhow the oil that came out of diff was silvery looking! That's one reason why I service my vehicles before manufacturer says too.

I change my rear diff fluid also for Royal Purple 75w-90. My fluid had 60k miles on it and it was slightly burnt, but not bad. However, it needed to be changed. I believable Hyundai uses Shell Spirax 80w-90 fluid as factory fill.
The slicker Royal Purple gear oil(has friction modifiers) seems to work well in the Genesis since the car feel like it has less drag.

Correction: Shell HD 75-80 gear oil is Hyundai factory fill for the Genesis 5.0.

I can relate to the less drag thing!! I used the Mobil 1 full synthetic 75w90 for the simple fact that I use it in our Kenworths and peterbilts and it is free !! Its all good stuff.

Here is the 2015 Genesis 5.0 service manual specs of the gear oil to use. Both of our gear oils meets or exceed the recommendations.

Well I just download it one file and it would not let me open it for whatever reason
The link is old. The member probably left the forum or bought another car. You may have to buy the rights to use the service manual for a few days on the hyundai link I gave you and then print to PDF file the information for use later. That is what I did. I paid about $30.

Didn't realize the 3.8 and the 5.0 had different rear ratois, that might make for an interesting drive putting a 3.90 into a 5.0 car.

I have considered that. I found an used 2015 Genesis 3.8 rear axle on eBay for about $300 and was going to swap axles until I remembered that my car is still under warranty. I also could not find information about how the 5.0 electronics will react to the lower gear ratio of the 3.90 axle which would affect the cruising rpms by raising it. Plus, I do not know if the 3.8 rear axle is strong enough to handle the 5.0 power.

Of course it would hurt the MPG, but sure would be fun when the stoplight turns green.

Years ago that was a simple swap but now with electronics controlling so much I have no idea.

Called the dealership and they said I can drive it without the fear of missing piece getting into the engine. I was not fine with it and dropped the car off the next day so they can drop the oil pan and get it out. They said that I will have to pay out of pocket but the service rep said I can always try to contact Hyundai Customer Care. I paid approx $250 out of my pocket to get it removed from the oil pan. I sent an email to Hyundai Customer Care and got the amount reimbursed:

Whom is your dealer? And, did you buy your car there??
 
I purchased my Genny at Patrick Hyundai. I serviced it at Elgin Hyundai and got my dipstick "fixed" there. Both dealerships are in IL (Chicagoland area). You can technically go any Hyundai Dealership to have it removed and then contact Hyundai CPO Warranty department.
