  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Next trip if it stops blowing, just turn the system off and check it every now and then to see if it works again. Previously I said a few minuets but it may have been a lot longer. It was back in the "70s that I had the problem. Thats what? about 38 years ago. Since then, I learned how to check the pressures and recognize a low pressure condition and what it can cause. I don't remember the numbers now and the new refrigerant is different from the GOOD OLD R12 days.
If you can plant the seeds in the brains of the tech, it will give him something to check that wont show up in a 5 min test.

pmckechnie brings up a very good point here. Now my this depends on the type of tech you have but many times if you tell them what is wrong they will go to great lengths to prove you wrong and show that they know more than you do. However if you can just suggest or “plant the seeds” as pmckechnie says then you can let the tech think he came up with the solution on his own and you will get the problem solved. just a personal observation.

You all do realize this guys hasn't posted here in over 4 years?

PRIME example of why old threads to go to a different area. Also his title should briefly explain what he's
disgusted about. What a dead thread...

This discussion has lived long enough. I agree, this is an example of a thread being brought back to life that should not have happened. Closed.
