  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Do all 2012 5.0 r specs have oil burning problems?

I have a 2012 r-spec. It had 9000 miles on it when I bought it. I noticed it was using oil every 1000 Orson miles. I took it to hyndia and was told not to worry about it. They said it was caused by the fact it was a high performance engine. Now years later I'm putting a quart or more in it every other week. There are no leaks, it is burning that much oil. I'll not buy another Hyundai. I want to say it has been a good car, but with 90000 miles on it, I don't think it will last much longer. I've taken real good care of the car. It should last for 150000 to 200000 miles. Regular oil changes, making sure it always has oil in it . It is disappointing that they lied to me. They amount of money I've spent on oil is tremendous.
