3.3T Ecu tune

I recently replaced my stock 225/40R19 and 255/35R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires with 235/40R19 and 265/35R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. I was worried I was going to lose speed due to the eight pound total increase due to the larger size...so I had to have some fun this nice, cool morning.

This is with Lozic 1.5bar ECU, TCU at 3 with -5% shifting, HKS spark plugs, AEM drop in filters, a full tank of Shell 93 with 3 gallons E85 mixed in. Stock intakes, stock exhaust.

And here's the log for that run. It was my personal best, my previous being 11.79 @ 115MPH
Same as the new M3 competition!

So, I was actually thinking about a new Lexus IS500, and then was like why? For a downgrade in performance in all aspects?
Yeah, I hear ya. I've looked at other cars too and nothing really interests me that is comparative in price. The G70 is really good and with a tune it's awesome.

Slip I’m thinking of getting lozic tune for some 0-60 runs and I’m tryna have a good sub 4 second time and also

Keep it relatively stock what do u suggest for the ecu and tcu tune im ok with it being a little more aggressive on the shifts if it makes a bigger difference in the 0-60 and aswell as what do u think about the pops on the normal exhaust is it capable or will it go bad after a while. Lastly if I’m planning on adding different things to the car like a cai and primary and secondary downpipe aswell exhaust should I enter that in the tune preparatively ?

Mine is 1.3Bar for 91 octane and TCU pressure 2. 0-60 in 3.5s. It's real quick and safe. If you are planning those mods you should wait until you have them and get the ECU tuned for them OR get what you want now and then send the ECU back for a re-tune. By the sounds of it, you want more power with those mods, so maybe you are looking for a 1.5Bar tune? Add a bit more of what you're looking to achieve and we can assist.

Not gonna be tracking the car or going to the drag strip as I live in Canada. Just a fun car to race friends with haha. I’m thinking of keeping it stock for a while until I can save up and get parts then I’ll get the ecu re tuned. So far I have this for my order sheet 1.4bar at 94 octane. -8 shift points pressure 3. Bubbles in sport mode for the whole thing. Do you think bubbles with stock exhaust would make a issue down the line or is bubbles ok?

Sounds good and bubbles are fine with stock, you just won't hear it

In regards to the sport+ issues...

I just use custom, it's all based on your powertrain choice.

I actually find it fun to show people "stock" best vs lozic 1.5 sport.

My custom mapping is sport powertrain, sport+ steering, comfort suspension, sport awd (sincer there is no sport+)

I'm considering getting the Mando ECS to change the suspension more.

I have more bolt on parts planned, yet not installed yet; well see what I can get to and I'm strongly considering getting a JB4 for logging and maybe map6 fine tuning to squeak out the little bits...

Will bubble and pops break my stock exhaust ?

It's not the best for catalytic converters, but bubbles and pops isn't terrible. I would not recommend bangs on stock converters or mufflers.

Keep in mind, during daily driving, it does not bubble, pop, or bang. It only does it on off-throttle gear hold, meaning it you're using manual shifting, and you apply then let off the gas, it'll do it. Otherwise it doesn't do it.

Bubbles and pops should be fine.

Perfect thank you so much. I’m finally ready to finish my order sheet and email it

Hit the track today, was very busy and only got 3 runs in. Mods: Lozic ECU (1.4bar) and TCU (pressure 2, -5%), JB4 with WMI, BMS Intakes and 1 step colder plugs

Run 1: JB4 on map 0 with WMI off. 11.955 at 112. Car shifting itself. Had a 1.631 60' (best 60' of the day for me). Raced a 2015 Hellcat, was manual and his first time at the track

Run 2: JB4 on map 6 with WMI. 12.105 at 113. Had a 1.821 60' (missed the first yellow an lunched with only 5psi). Raced a 2020 GT500

Run 3 (best of the day) JB4 on map 6 with WMI and some more fine tuning. 11.786 at 115. Had a 1.635 60' and used paddle shifters at 5500rpm. Raced a 2001 Mustang Cobra

Overall was supper happy with the outcome, the ECU and TCU are worth every penny. Can't be disappointed with a 1.6** 60'

Previous best with same mods but no ECU/TCU tune was 12.37

I listed my TCU in classifieds if anyone interested.

Hey guys,

I just received my lozic ecu and I had it set for 94 octane as I have petro can near by. Been reading after the order went in that it may not be the best gas and shell 91 is better as there’s no ethanol. Do you think I chose the wrong octane rating? Car is completely stock otherwise.

I did mention to lozic that the 94 has up to 10 % ethanol and he said it should be okay.

Anyone have any input about gas quality? If I put 91 sometimes do you think that would be okay as well?

TIA

What tune did you ask for?

Hey Slip,

I asked for the following:

94 octane
1.5 bar
Power by mode B
ready boost off, after reading your post about always on kill.

I guess the only real way will be to hook it up and see what happens.

I’m in Montreal by the way if that helps at all.

Should be fine. The ECU will adjust if there is knock detected. I know people who have run 91 with the 1.5Bar, though I think that tune is a bit hot for 91.

I've also seen recent testing of Shell 91 on the west coast of Canada and the results are not good at all. I assume 94 is Petro Can?
