3.3T Ecu tune

no room to work in especially on passenger side - I had a couple of studs snap off in the turbo on drivers side when I put mine in to get done - was shitting bricks thinking I was stuck with an engine that needed taking out. Guy managed to drill out old studs and re-tap them - god knows how. Sold the downpipes to a guy.

Yeah, check out the nightmare thread from @Toddasaurus on his DP replacement. 😱 Poor guy went through hell, had to buy a new turbo. (I'd provide a link but I'm forum challenged, haha).

the only reason I tried it was because I had it done on my Q60 RS400 without issue, glad I got away with what I did.

It's a pretty noticeable bump in power. However you won't get much benefit out of it unless you are doing a lot of roll racing. 60-130 times with primary DPs are substantially lower. That being said, they are a huge PIA to do and the risk of breaking studs is VERY real. I don't advise it outside of chasing times/power.
 
There is a guy on Youtube that is now tuning via OBD but I guess you need to be local to him...


How did you flash your ECU? j2534 pass through using kia diagnostics subscription?
 
This is one way: Kia Stinger / Genesis G70 EK1Lite by SXTH

With that you can upload/download tune files, so lets you flash whatever ECU tune you want (and check with Burger, they now do back end flashes that work with a JB4. Same method that is done on BMW's).

I didn’t lose mine with my Tork ECU swap. I would think lap3 is the same
 
Yes.

You might get lucky like I did and not lose it. But that's rare. Plan on GCC being gone.

I know how you feel. I use mine several times a day, everyday. The temperature here is anywhere from -15°F to over 100°F

yeah I use it a lot during the winter months for remote start

I didn't either with my Lozic ecu. From what I understand though, it is random. There's a code or model number, something to that effect that. Maybe 4 or 5 different ones and they are randomly assigned to the actual ecus from Hyundai.

There's also reasons not to have it active which can be important in case you blow something and need warranty work.

From my understanding that just mimics 2022 sport+ transmission behavior in a 2019-2021 car.


Man Lozic is a busy guy. In the past month there have been 7 revisions to the order form - on V26 now. Looks like he's learning new things with the 2022+ cars. Apparently to get the full power launch without limits, you also need to select 'like brake snip' on the 22 cars, not just 'torque limits off'. There are also now a couple other shifting options, top speed governor removal, high or low strength for boost ready, etc.
Then why not simply do the brake snip mod?
