  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Electric GV70

Not sure if the attached image file (chart) has already been posted in this thread (or in this forum), but I thought I'd share it here anyway for fellow eGV70 owners/enthusiasts who are always on the lookout for hard-to-find tech detail.
To see horsepower equivalent numbers, here's the link to an excellent "KW to HP" Conversion webpage:

Interesting but what is this "Eco" thing? :D

Hey guys. Fyi - I've attached to this post the "GV70 EV Full Comprehensive Specifications" pdf that I downloaded from the Genesis Australia website. The technical detail in the pdf is excellent and is unmatched by anything else I've seen online. Note that apart from right-hand drive and a very small number of differences/features that are unique to the Aussie market, the Australian eGV70 is identical to the one we have here in North America.

Went to the dealership on Tuesday to get the summer wheels slapped back on, and have them proceed with the ICCU recall, no issue to report.

Saw the new Range Rover Wannabe Santa Fe (Better looking in person than pictures), but can't wait for the dealership to have its own Genesis standalone place, not that the service is bad in any way, it's just getting crowded to share space with Hyundai.

I saw that in the U.S. they offer full home charging solutions including the possibility to use the car's battery to partially power your home during peak demand hours (Funny the car specs mention V2L but never V2H, I guess it's possible through a workaround with the electrical equipment). I wonder if Genesis Canada will eventually offer the same service...!

Genesis really should change their description of the "matte" Makalu Gray cause believe me, it ain't matte. It's satin! Just look at all those metallic flakes! I love this colour!!

Does the GV70 EV display the tire pressure in the cluster? If so how do you get it to display?

Indeed, it's gorgeous (When the whole car isn't green because of pollens these days)...!

I saw my second Electrified GV70 not long ago, a Vik Black one.

As for Makalu Gray Matte, it's been removed from the Canadian color palette this year, so we are really riding unicorns...!

Yes it does. Press button #1 as it cycles through the 3D image of the car, the compass, and then the car-related info. From there, then scroll through the dial #2 until the screen showing tire pressure comes up.

I don't remember how to get it on the display but it's easy to have it on the app (Vehicle Care > Vehicle Health Report > Driving information)! It won't show the exact PSI though.

I tried that, but I don't see the tire display.

I'm not sure which trim level you have. Is the tire pressure monitor only for Prestige models? I haven't owned a non-Prestige version so I can't be sure.

I have the Prestige.

The tire monitor displays on yours?

Yes, on every Genesis I've owned so far. You might need to have the dealer take a look at yours.

It may be hidden - check out this video that explains how to show the various displays (the video is for displaying the speed, but the tire pressure display is in the same area)

Yes, it was unchecked. I had to hold down the add content and check the display tire pressure. It's there now. Thanks

As this seems to be the only eGV70 thread (shouldn't we have our own sub forum by now? lol) Question for the fellow eGV70 owners that live in snowy climates, what do I need to consider when looking for a snow tire/wheel setup for this car? I usually depend on tirerack.com to tell me what tire/wheel combos will fit my cars, but it seems they don't have anything setup for the eGV70. I've also heard that different tire/wheel sizes will effect the efficiency of the battery.

Also, and this is not snow tire related, I have the 'base' eGV70 (i.e. no Prestige), should the door arm rests have active ambient lighting or is this just a Prestige thing?

Anyone know how to get ambient lighting to turn on in the door panel for the GV70E Prestige?

The owner's manual (page 5-75) also refers to ambient lighting as "Mood lamps" for the ambient lights on the door panels. The manual states the following:
The lamp turns on when Setup>
Vehicle > Lights > Ambient Light
is selected from the infotainment
system.
