  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Electric GV70

Got mine Thursday (Matte Makalu with full PPF, white interior), amazed with it. I've been gentle with it, went with ECO mode and i-Pedal mode, after last charge the car was stating a range of 400km.

I did try Boost mode as well and got a "Don't ever touch that button again!" from my wife so that's the best button there is! 🤣View attachment 53491View attachment 53493View attachment 53494
That's hilarious what your wife said! Beautiful car, by the way.

Thank you! As my brother-in-law was driving the car and having fun with the Boost button, my sister told him the exact same thing as my wife did! Starting to think they should have labeled it the "Guys-Only" button...! 🤣

I dig the interior mood lighting on white interior more than I expected as well...!

Nice to see I'm not the only closet hooligan who probably won't get tired of the Boost button after a few uses. Lol

Congrats! Love love the matte gray; just wish it was easier to care for...

Me too, wouldn't have needed to fully PPF the car...!

Thanks!

For US buyers (not lease), what’s the latest on the purchase $7,500 tax credit for the GV70 EV?

I know it lost it in April (harsh for an EV made in Alabama), and there are efforts to appeal that or change the battery supply components. Any chance it will be back on the list this year. Or is it pretty much gave over this year and we have to look to future years and guidance.

Hopefully one of the US members here can chime in on this. Seems like a lot of the people on this thread so far have been Canadians.

I’m in the process of buying this now where I live in Florida and no mention of any kind of tax credit. I haven’t asked since I wouldn’t qualify for it anyway

Hyundai is now offering $7,500 lease cash on the Ioniq 5 and 6, so wouldn't be surprised to see Genesis follow suit on the Electrified GV70 and G80 (as long as are under the price cap).

Does the physical NFC card come with this vehicle?
I don't know about the US but not in Canada... There should be a way to setup your phone as NFC key but I haven't gotten around that yet.

The dealership did not tell me it was there but I had the physical NFC card sitting in the wireless charging bay in a little plastic sleeve. I noticed my phone kept cutting out when it was wirelessly charging. Put my hand in there & found the culprit. The card was also already linked to the vehicle & now sits in my wallet =)

Thanks for this! Are you in the USA?

I don't think Canadian-spec cars can use smartphones as an NFC card. It wasn't possible on the three that I bought in the last 2 years, and the sales manager assures me it won't be possible in the eGV70 either. Depressing.

Did you ever hear why that is? I'm hearing Mercedes owners have that capability...

It's ARRIVED! My GV70e showed up at the dealership yesterday. We went and saw it today and did up all of the paperwork. It should be PDI'd and available to drive away on Monday. Can't wait.

Congrats, Uyuni White is great with all the sparkle in the paint! I've been driving mine for a week now and I can't recommend going electric enough!

Just tested the cottage charger and it works just fine - I won't ever need to recharge along the way (Except if I don't leave charged enough, but topped off it won't be an issue even in winter)!

Congratulations!! Man you're going to have such a great time in that new car.

Not sure if I believe him, but according to the manager, it has something to do with our archaic federal safety regulations.
