Hi to all, a friend of mine has a 2009 Genesis Sedan “Middle East Spec” which is equivalent to the Tech Package in the US Spec except that we don’t get the navigation option “no GPS receiver, no MAP/Guide button,…etc”.
From the secret menu we were able to get the following info:
- The car is equipped with a hard drive.
- No Navigation Box software and no Navigation Maps.
- OS Build version is very old, 2006!
We tried to look for the missing hardware from http://www.partswebsite.com/reyreece/index.php?i=2&model=2081&make=127&year=2009§ion=3&catid=30144&type=parts&subcatid=30440&item_collision=1&items=none&image=1075160&catid=30144, I guess we need “at least” the following:
- GPS Receiver.
- GPS Antenna “the shark fin unit”.
Do you think we need more hardware to be considered?
For the software, I read the thread talking about maps update, I’m not sure if those DVDs are compatible with ME HW version so I will post the HW version of the ME spec 2009 Genesis:
Any feedback is really appreciated
