Ok folks...lets answer his questions.

Give him your input on PRICE and SOUND. We see that the tips are about dead even.

I would suggest that you watch his video and visit Borla.com to see just how these systems are built, what materials are used, and the engineering that goes in to a completed product. Especially check out the FAQ page. Definitely a learning experience for me.

Keep in mind this is not a JC Whitney discount part...this is the real deal.

We have a golden opportunity here and I would hate to see it go to waste.

Standard quad tips would work fine. Similar exhausts could be purchased around 550 (from a 1kish msrp) - So I would expect the "wholesale" pricing to be around that.

This sound is possible but my concern is the cabin resonance. Cabin resonance (aka drone) can give you a headache cruising at hwy speeds...

I personally love the high pitched sound of the V8 M3s(E90).
Like Dimitry said, our Tau isn't as high-revving as the M3, but was hoping if Borla could somehow make it sound similar.
I'm not that into low-rumble sound, as it makes it more prone to drone noise(just a wild guess).
Again, a european kind of V8 sound would be awesome.
If Borla could achieve that M3 sound, I wouldn't mind paying 1k for the system.
But then again, just an axle-back system would be good(just like the Vettes) to keep the cost down.

I like the Meisterschaft 750's sound, but it's way too loud for the Genesis, IMO.
I find the sound and volume of the Brabus to be perfect.
Slight hint of performance when accelerating, otherwise, quiet. Perfect.

Thanks for the input everyone. Many of these provided video-clips are exhaust systems of a cat-back design (not rear-section) requiring more material, flanges, pipe, muffler... $$.

BTW, we're not sure what the whisper valve is about. There are no valves in this system from the catalytic converter back.

We're looking at some options and want to offer the right product. Your feedback is important. We're first looking at a rear section with dual-split tips (4-tips). I should have some pics to share some Borla R&D next week. Don't hold your breath for a video clip....

We understand that just by changing the exhaust, from the cats…back, will only yield so much actual performance gains. To do this modification on the “performance” side, we would need to start with the headers; intake…etc. I think what most of us are “really” looking for is an axle-back system. Most of us do not want to modify our cars on the performance side because of the lack of aftermarket parts, the expense, as well as the lack of Hyundai Genesis techies. The car has not been on the streets long enough for those individuals to come out of the woodwork.

im so excited Alvin and Borla have my car to do a prototype! I'm in talks with the Guru for supercharging and dual turbo the Acura NSX to come up with a bracket and paxton type supercharger for OUR Genny!

I wanna get down and dirty with some lowering springs as well but cant get my hands on them yet....

1 - I LOVE THE DUAL TIPS, IT SEPARATES IT FROM EVERYTHING ON THE MARKET....

2 - THE CAR now SOUNDS LIKE THE BEAST THAT IT IS, no more sleeper.

3 - ALVIN SAID THAT THE IN-CABIN SOUND IS AGRESSIVE BUT VERY UNDERSTATED. I MEASURED THE DB LEVEL BEFORE I DROPPED IT OFF TO BORLA AND AT A STOP WITH THE MOTOR OFF WAS 40DB, ON THE FRWY AT 70MPH 60-65 DB, THATS QUIET. IM ANTICIPATING THE SOUND LEVEL BEING SOMEWHERE IN THE 70-75DB AT WOT.

4 - I NOTICED THAT THE PIECE UNDER THE FRONT SUPPORT IS REPLACED. WHEN I EXAMINED MY CAR BEFORE I DROPPED IT OFF I HAD NOTICED THAT THERE IS A FACTORY PINCH-POINT AT THAT LOCATION. THEY ACTUALLY CRIMPED THE PIPE TO FIT IT UNDER THE SUPPORT....?

Listening to this clip at home, it's not as good as hearing it live. The note is lower in frequency and more aggressive. I hope that some of you in SoCal will get have the opportunity to hear it live and confirm what I'm saying.

Regarding interior sound, I feel with high confidence you'll be happy. There's no cabin resonance or drone while cruising - you'll be able to listen and enjoy your music or have a conversation. More information to follow soon. Thanks again everyone!
