  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all,

I owned a G1 Genesis a few years ago and decided to come back to the Genesis family after looking at the 2015 Genesis. Just got one last week but I noticed that the black trim on the rear passenger side window (towards the front passenger side) moves a bit when you push on it. This doesn't happen (as much) on the rear driver side window. It's not super easy to push but it's a bit disconcerting that it moves. The dealer claims this is normal...any thoughts? BTW it doesn't stay permanently deformed...it pops back when you stop applying pressure.

Same here but with the front doors. Both driver and passenger side black trim pieces above the door handle feel like they're glued-on to the door-frame and keep separating from frame. It's like the trim piece is curved but the frame is flat so the trim stays attached at the top and bottom but pulls away at the middle.

Return to the dealer and have it fixed. Should be covered under warranty.

Dealer #1 said it was normal. Pfft.
Dealer #2 said they ordered parts, which never came. I gave up trying to follow-up with them. On hold forever when I call in, and of course, they never bother calling me back.

Is there a special # for Genesis Customer Care?

Similar issue here. I used 3M double sided tape and keep it from clicking every time I open/close the door.
