  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Favorite Color Combos for G70

I have the list of the Canadian colours attached and I'm curious about a few them. I thought the red was metallic but it appears it may not be. Can any red owners confirm that there is no metallic flake in the red?

I've also read that people are referring to the siberian ice color as matte. When I look at pictures it appears to be glossy and not matte. It definitely doesn't have a metallic flake but still appears glossy. In the list it does not state pearl, metallic or mica and is the only color that doesn't have one of those three.
Is that from Car Cost Canada?
Not sure how accurate they are. The red is pretty shiny.

Yes it is. I wasn't sure either how accurate is was but I had a chance to look at the samples for each paint color today. The red to me did not appear to have a metallic flake in it. It was very glossy though, so still gives off a great shine.

I was going back and forth between himalayan grey and havana red initially. I want a metallic finish so I think I've ruled out the red as I don't think it's metallic. Then I walk into the dealership and the nurburg green is staring me right in the face. I actually thought it was the himalayan grey at first then noticed the white/silverish brembo's. The nurburg green is really sharp. It changes color depending on the light it's in. Sometimes it looks grey and sometimes it looks green. So at this point it's between grey and green. Then a customer pulls into the shop with their santiago silver. Normally I don't like silver at all but I really liked this one. The metallic flake in the silver is very prominent and gives off a great reflection.

I don't think I've come across a car brand that did such a good job with so many great colours for one car. Here's a few pics of the green. The lights inside the showroom are bright so it was not the best lighting. I held the green and grey samples next to the green car and the green is a little darker overall.

I have the Nürburg Green. freaking love it. Have yet to have a decent sunny day since I got it last Friday. Looks grey on gloomy days.

I didn't even notice that in your signature. That's awesome. It's such a unique color.

I like the one you linked. The dark chrome would look nice on my car! Couldn't find it on Amazon Canada though!

Now that we're seeing them in the U.S., I wonder if the Canadian approach would be better -- as in, Siberian Ice only available for Sport package. I don't think it looks right with the bright trim, at least in pictures.
I guess I tend to prefer combos with contrast. I'm also not much for the darker colors with the dark wheels.

^^^^^^

My Santiago Silver arrived today. My GXM will be taking pictures for me tomorrow. I'll post them up once I receive them!

Now that is a good looking G70. Silver just looks so awesome with the darker trim, wheels, and windows. 🙂

My car’s a bit far off from California...

This 3.3T Prestige with Siberian Ice and Black Nappa seats is perfect. You can see the contrast with the white car in the background. Full disclosure: I darkened the original photo to show the seats in a more realistic black color.

Tempted to look into car transfer options if California doesn’t get its act together soon.

I'm with you Ed. This looks great to me. We may have to meet up in Las Vegas & get twins. One for SoCal, and one for Norcal.

For me the mallorca blue or havana red with a brown interior would be the ultimate color combo. I wish the 3.3t sport had the option to choose the brown interior.

Silver!

Looking at that grey stitching makes me want it instead of red stitching. It really does look more mature, in my opinion.

Silver AWD sport. Grey stitching. Boom.

FYI...there are several out there!!! North East.

I saw the G70 in Adriatic Blue, and it's really amazing in sunlight. It's definitely metallic paint that is like 75/25 black and blue in shade but a brilliant, sparkling blue under the sun. Living in Phoenix, where it's insanely sunny, means I'll almost always have that great sparkle though if I get that color.

Wow, that's a lot nicer than the pictures make it seem. I bet with the sport darker chrome it would look REALLY hot!

My GXM brought me an Adriatic Blue for the test drive. It is a very classy colour. A lot darker than how it shows on the site.
But for some reason, I think it would look better on an executive style vehicle like the G80 or bigger!
