  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After five months, last Friday I finally picked up my new white with black interior,Tech package 3.8. I have been DILIGENTLY trying to get one since last August, but first the white satin pearl exterior was late coming to the market and then the ones with black interior were very rare. There have been none in the Southeast and the one I just got was shipped down from Baltimore.
So far I love the car and the color combo. I have not noticed anyone else yet on this forum that has this color combo. It is a little "retro" in that when I was a teenager in the 60's many, many cars had black interiors. I have already installed the "wing" wheel hub covers and back badge and both look great with the black interior as both have black in their designs.
I test drove both the 3.8 and the 4.6 and it was indeed a tough choice; however for me I liked the ride and the handling of the 3.8 a little better. As others have said on this forum previously though, it is a matter of personal choice and there is really no "wrong choice".
I have been driving Lincoln Town cars for over 20 years as my main " traveling car" so this is a leap of faith for me. I am sure I will not be disappointed. The 3.8 is giving me plenty of power, as I am used to the Lincoln V8 that only produced 200 HP.
I have reviewed most of the pictures that many of you have sent in and I can truly say that I have not seen a poor color combo yet.
I am truly glad to say that I am now a member of the "Genesis owner club"

Congrats, rpenland - I think you have a rare Genny there! And where's the photos? :D

Yeah man where r the pics & congrats

You my friend have an incredible amount of patience. Hats off to you buddy!

;)

I finally made the pictures and got them (I think) in the Hyundai Genesis section of this forum. I am afraid they probabaly do not do the color combo justice as I am not very good at this type of thing and the outside lighting made showing the black interior diffiicult. However in real life the white/ black contrast looks good.
