I just picked up a 2010 black/black 4.6 with tech package and I wanted to see if anyone else changed their oil around the 1k mark. That is usually the recommended timeframe to get rid of any metal in the engine, but the manual doesn't say anything.

Btw, the car is awesome!

I changed mine at 1K miles with synthetic. Though I suspect you will not have the same issue we V6'ers have with the discrepancy in oil amounts in the service manual and the dip stick. Enjoy your new ride.
