If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Any advice on why the yellow lights on driver's heated switch keeps flashing. The car is a 2010 base Genesis. In particular, the most right yellow light keeps flashing. The other two yellow lights are solid. The lights cannot be shut off once the switch is pressed without shutting off the car. I do not think that the seat heats up anymore.
The passenger's seat still works properly. All three yellow light up when the passenger heater switch is initially pressed. If the switch is pressed again, only two lights are lit. If the switch is pressed again, only one light is lit. The passenger seats correctly lowers the heat after each press of the passenger's switch.
I will be bringing to dealer but would like information if anyone has experienced this problem.

Thank you.

Interested to know what these means as well. Sounds like it's blinking to show the heater is malfunctioning.

First of all, I would make sure that the heated seat works for the driver seat. Also, is the blinking periodic(for ex. blinks every 500ms) or random? If it is random, then I think it's just a problem with the LED. Make sure you record a video when it happens and show it to the service advisor.

Dealer stated the drivers side seat warmer failed. They are replacing the entire system in the seat.

The dealer had the seat heater unit replaced to fix the problem.

It's good that your issue is taken care of. Thanks for letting us know the outcome. It will be great information for the other members who might experience the same symptom.

So I picked up my car tonight. Dealer replaced the entire lower seat. Picked the car up in the dark obviously as it was parked outside waiting for me. I could tell immediately it was a brand new cushion... heated seat works great. Then I get home. The color and type is so off its not funny. Did a part number search (88160-3M103-YHJ) and it comes back to a 2014 Hyundai seat part. I have a 2013. Lets see what the dealer does about this. I can't wait until they say, that's just the way it is. I'm gonna say great... match the remaining interior then.

**After a little checking, part numbers are the same for both years but the material is definitely not. Wait and see.

That looks terrible IMO.

Something is a miss here. Does not look like the right color to me either. I will say that the KDM grey winged airbag does not match my steering wheel exactly either, but this is definitely more noticeable. Hope they can fix it properly.

Needless to say I am not happy with it. The official color is still "black leather". It looks a little faded in photos but when you see it in person you just go WTF

Dealer told me it was the correct part and part number and they changed it according to the repair. There is nothing more they can do for me. I had to contact Hyundai America for a resolution. They will be contacting me within 5-7 days with their findings.

I've seen it personally. The color look different only on picture, but those wrinkles! WTF?!
I hope, they (HMA) do something about it.

I have same issue with my 2010 genesis. Took it to dealer, need to replace heating element in the tune of $800. Not happening and s disappointed that just after 4 years, this goes out.

I guess you have over 60,000 miles on your odometer. An extended warranty would have covered this, though.

At the dealer now to address this issue, Drivers side heated seats flashes and doesn't work.
Dealer is telling me they would have to replace the entire seat. I have an extended warranty but I would hate them to put a different color in the car.

2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8
58,000 Mi.
Black

The seat went out in my Buick in two years, but since I had passed 36,000 miles they would not cover it. Dealer wanted $672 in 2002. That and a few other reasons it was my last GM car ever. Seems silly to replace an entire seat cushion to replace a $15 toaster element. I did not fix it but would look for some sort of aftermarket heater than an auto upholstery shop could install.

Please let me know the outcome with your wrinkeled and color mismatched replacement as I have just had the exact same problem with my 2014 genesis warranty work.

All these posts are not very re-assuring. My seat warmer just went out and I am going to have to take it in to get it replaced. I am not going to be happy if it comes back like the pictures above. Did anyone get a resolution to any of these seat issues after a replacement?
