  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Front mud flaps

The rear mud guard kit part # is: G9F46-AK100
No front at the moment. Front would be more useful!

Agreed. Front would be great and they should be body colour matching too. Not the cheap black rubber one's the look like crap. My TLX had the body coloured matching one's and you could barely even tell there were there.

If anyone has updates on front mud guards it'd be appreciated. I am going to get the rear ones on my next service but I agree about the front guards being needed as I hear a lot of gravel hitting the rocker panel.

Is there front mudguards available yet - even if aftermarket as long as they are the same design as the OEM rears.

I was watching one of Auto Fanatic's videos on YouTube and he put custom ones on his Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio. He reached out and ask what interest there was from his viewers to see if there was demand to make mutiple ones. Maybe talk to him.

I imagine there are a lot of performance orientated cars that may need the front guards especially with aftermarket wheel setups.

You have the link to that video.

I made my own. 4 dollar mud flaps from Canadian Tire and just cut to fit. Cut them with a razor blade knife, sanded the edges with a belt sander, and cleaned up the edges with some steel wool. They look factory cut.

Used the existing screw that’s in the wheel well, and used Gorilla high strength/ 3M VHB tape . I’ll let you know how they hold up.

Alternatively, anyone try sticking some clear paint protectant film behind the area instead? Similar to the factory applied rear ones? May be better to go that route until they release the front guards...

I have to say that it is not an area of concern as far as paint wear. I've owned the car 8 months and there are no paint wear issues in those areas.

Do you drive on the odd gravel road? I do and the front flaps are staying on.

^ I have that on my car...port installed. No idea if it works or not...haha...never dropped or scrapped the bumper (that I know of).

How about the rear bumper appliqué?
I think almost all G70s have the installed from port. I had it in my previous cars and they served well for protecting the rear bumper from scratches when loading/unloading stuff in the trunk.

^ no...they’re fugly.

I disagree. It widens out the back a bit so you don't see the tire poking out.

Been pretty helpful since every damn city around me decide it was time to hire 3 year olds to pave the roads and apparently steam rollers don't exist anymore or something
