  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I don't know if you read french, but thats the message Ive got from Genesis :

Cher Mr. Brideau,

Merci d’avoir contacter Genesis Motors Canada.

Tous nos véhicules Genesis G70 sont équipés du Active Sound Deign qui augmente la sonorité du son de l’exhaust à l’intérieur du véhicule.

Si vous avez d’autre questions, n’hésite pas à nous contacter.

Bien à vous

I can't tell the difference between any of these sounds. How about anyone else out there?

Me neither. I was playing around with it the other day, can't tell a difference. Though, I do have an aftermarket exhaust, but it's not a ton louder than stock. 🤷‍♀️

Same here. Decided to try playing with it the other day for the first time, I honestly could not hear a difference even between "enhanced" and "off."

I've tried to feel the difference but I was unable to hear anything too. I thought it was because my hearing loss but now I can see I'm not the only one.

It does appear to be hard to hear, I agree.

Is it because the subwoofers are part of the engine sound system (if they are)? If they are too limited, or not working, the sounds and vibration disappear.

Try it at WOT in sport mode and you should hear it. Not sure if stereo volume impacts it or not, but the one time I did play around with it, I had the volume around 15.

It was discussed in another thread, but the noise isn't really added at all points in the RPM range and I believe anything short of sport limits the effect as well. It's largely there to make you feel like you have a race car when you mash the pedal

Oh dang, I didn't know that. I'll have to try it again, I'm curious now.

I can attest to the fact that volume knob setting has no effect in volume of active sound. ASD setting — Normal, Enhanced, etc. — does have a subtle effect. Try switching between enhanced and off. You’ll notice the difference and will be able to discern whether you like the artificial sound or not. Loudness increases with RPMs, not throttle input.
