  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

I currently have a 2016 AWD Genesis Sedan 3.8 that I'm leasing for $460/month 12k/36 with $0 money down, the MSRP of the car was around $48-50k if I remember, I have 6 payments left but and also going to end up being about 10k miles under the allowance.

I stopped by a local dealership who has 3 G70's, 2 of which I was interested in

G70 2.0T - Siberian Ice AWD
I forget all the package but it was pretty much fully loaded

MSRP was around $47k
The best offer I could get was $570/month 10k/36 $0 down

G70 3.3T - Havanna Red AWD
Sport Package

The Havanna Red with the black/red stitched interior was beautiful

MSRP was around $52k
The best offer I could get was $670/month 10k/36 $0 down

I decided to pass on the deals I feel like its just too much. Both are amazing cars but the 3.3T Sport is just awesome to drive. They also had a 3.3T with a "Designer" package? I'm debating if I should settle on a 2.0T to stay near my same monthly payment.

Also it sounded like they were having trouble selling (this dealership hasn't sold any yet) mostly because people are expecting better prices.

I was finally able to get in touch with a dealer and apparently I’m not able to custom build a vehicle and get it shipped to the U.S. However, they were able to locate the one I’m interested in which is the 3.3T Sport in Santiago Silver. I was considering leasing once I sell my Mercedes but she gave me a price of $854. I found this to be a little high and am curious what all of you think? I also don’t think she took into account the lease incentive I’ve read about on here.
Salesguy is full of shit. First...a 36 month lease is NOT the only term for leasing.

Next...there are silver cars. Use cars.com

It’s actually a female but I was thinking the same thing. I was a little thrown off when she told me that.

Taxes included. RWD for me as I’m stationed in the south. MSRP is $50,495 but discounted to $49,905.

You will need to have them list the details, as a member of the military (thank you for your service) you are also eligible for the $500 military incentive. They should break down the deal as follows:

MSRP:
Discounts:
Fees:
Money Factor:
Residual Value:
Incentives:

With those numbers and the tax amount (not sure if you have to pay tax given you are in the military), a few of our members will be happy to asses the deal.

Edit: I see now they did mention the military discount.

With those numbers, 36/15k, 7% taxes, $2500 lease cash rebate, I get $739 monthly with Zero Down

I will have her send me the exact numbers and I will get back with you. Probably on Monday. I’m willing to pay up for the car since I will likely purchase after the lease but I’d like a reasonable price. Seems like my price is the highest I’ve seen so far.

Thank you! I was tracking the military incentive and I found out about the lease incentive on here. I will get the info ASAP and get back with you guys. I appreciate the help.

The least you can get as discounts are:
$2500 lease cash
$500 military discount
Do you own a Mercedes-Benz righ? Could be a $1000 conquest discount there if you are trading
For a 3.3T Sport RWD 36/15K
Your MF should be 0.00068
Your RV should be 50%

I think she may have been referring to the trim he wanted. I looked for a Silver 3.3T Sport RWD and nothing came up. Of course there have been some problems with the trims and colors being listed on third party sites. It would be nice if Genesis' site would allow a search by radius.

Good catch, that should help him. You don't need to trade to get the conquest, as long as you have one of the eligible vehicles registered in your name.

I do. However I will be selling it to my father as he wants another AMG for his weekend car. The plan was to sell to him and then make the switch to the g70.

Ohh, so even if I sell to my father then I’m still good for the conquest? In regards to the color, I told her my first choice is the santiago silver and my backup would be the casablanca white.

Make a photocopy of your registration with the MB before you sell it!!!! They need that to get your incentive.

Good news is I qualify for everything you said. Just need to get the figures now.

Fight for another $1-2k off MSRP. And...you good for 36 months? There ARE other terms...but the 3 year is the most attractive.

I believe the 3 years would be good. I’ve only ever purchased or financed so leasing is new to me. What’s recommended? I’m sure if I go shorter then payments will likely increase.

Cannot go shorter. 3 years is good for leasing since in lines up with the warranty and other free concierge goodies.

I will stick with that. Now I just need to drive the price down a little more and I’ll be set. I just asked for a breakdown of the costs associated so I’m hoping to get that shortly to see where we stand.

Hmm, I wonder if that’s the one she has located. Personally red is my least favorite color and I prefer the gray stitching. I’ll have to look at the red stitching again as that’s something I’d have to consider. Exactly what I want minus that though.
