  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

Ideally the Sport white exterior but Prestige would work. Within a couple hour drive, there are 4 AWD 3.3 at the dealers - 1 design, 4 advance

You don’t have your location in your profile, where are you located?

Ha look at that just outside the radius of what I was looking. PIA to get there from here though, but definitely an option.

AWD's aren't that plentiful in the South so a couple hours of pain may get you years of enjoyment. ;)

Don't forget to PM @r_spec when you have over 16 posts so you can get a Circle pricing certificate. That way the price will be about $48.4k before incentives. (y)

Cool man. Appreciate your help and info. Many props.

So I'm at the dealership right now,

Does anyone have information on the Spectrum Leasing Program? They are saying they operate differently, with the lease cash on an AWD sport being 1750 and MF of .00214, (plus normal incentives) versus $3000 and MF of .00007 for going and doing a regular lease.

I'm not sure if they're yanking my chain on that or not. It still seems like an okay deal. 699/mo with the included auto insurance with $699 down plus fees and an $1800 trade in.

They are trying to get extra money out of you. I have seen where someone was using a Circle Plan certificate and said the only way they would give the discount to them is to put them on the higher leasing MF table. Unfortunately it is up to the dealer, I would walk fi they don't give you base MF (assuming a decent credit score).

That's what Confused me. They gave me the base money factor for the lease that wasn't through Spectrum, but they said that going through Spectrum that I would have a higher money factor and different lease cash amounts. It's hard to find more information on Spectrum because it is only available in Florida and it appears very few people are doing it.

If they are telling the truth, I will have to see what is a better deal in the long run; getting the base money factor and getting my insurance through another provider, or going through Spectrum and getting group rate insurance. For reference I am paying $274 per month for insurance on my 2015 Genesis sedan (that is with a clean driving record save for one comprehensive claim to fix a chip in my windshield).

^ It could be that there is some stipulation as to what MF needs to be used for that insurance program. I wouldn't want my insurance tied to my vehicle since I'm sure I could do better elsewhere but some people like the idea of it all being in one. Good luck and lt us know how it goes.

I certainly will.

It's surprising how little any party knows about this program.

I emailed Genesis and they told me it was a question for MetLife, spoke to them and they were unsure on pricing. All the press materials given to the car sites have stated that it's like any lease and it adds 130/140/150 straight to the payment of the G70/G80/G90. Each dealer has also told me something different about payment, coverage, etc (one told me it was GAP, another that it was only 10/20/10 where it's 100/300/50).

I really wish Genesis USA had it together like Canada appears to be.

Got my G70 Sport last Thursday. With Circle A-Plan, $2500 lease cash, $1000 owner loyalty, and $4000 down, the monthly payment came out to $421. That doesn't include sales tax, as Oregon doesn't charge one. I know that's a fairly large down payment, but we've always preferred to pay more up front so we could worry less about the monthly payment.

I contacted Genesis corporate about the program and pricing, they told me to contact MetLife. MetLife told me they don't handle that, it would be a question for Genesis Corporate and their dealers.

Dealer's have all given me different information so I sent another message to Genesis corporate.

I really just want it to be less than my current insurance. I've shopped around, most agents see my current monthly quote and say they can have me in the same plan for $100 less a month no problem, they run the numbers and they come back with something between $25 and $200 higher per month. They check the record, it shows as clean with no history of at-fault accidents (I did get rear ended 5 years ago by someone texting), and they are miffed. I ran the numbers on an Audi S8 and even had them put in a new E63 and the rates were normal. Apparently the Genesis sedan just runs high.

Hopefully I'll get a response and be able to move forward. I just can't do that with bad information.

Was this for a 3.3T? Looking to replace my a4 with a 3.3 and just trying to get an idea of payments people are seeing.

Welcome to the forum. Rather than looking at the individual payment amounts it may be more helpful to you to see what discounts and final pricing people are getting. Since there are different tax rates and dealer fees it is tough to compare payment amounts.

There is also a thread on purchase pricing so that may help you also.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

Just kind of fact gathering at this point. I know tax rates and dealer fees will be different. My A4 is coming off lease and Audi is throwing some cash at me so im trying to get some idea of what to expect. I am in Colorado so our G70 selection is limited too so it will be a fun process!

Anyone in IL with a G70 lease? I'm attaching the first quote I received. They aren't even close on the selling price and all that, haven't factored my trade, so please don't focus on that. There's a line item on the lease quote called "Tax on Collected Items". I have no idea what this is. The state of IL, to my knowledge, only charges tax on the lease payment amount. Not the cap cost (used to be that way).

I'm going into the dealer Saturday to discuss this, pricing, etc. But if anyone else in IL has a G70 lease, do you see this on your agreement?

(note: circled in red). Thanks all!

The money factor they're quoting you is 10x too high. Should be .00007 for an AWD and .00006 for a RWD.

As @FornicatorSteve said the MF is inflated by 10 times (maybe a typo?) but IDK what the f***ck is Tax on Collected items. Looks like dealer BS.
