  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 LED vs Stock Turn & Reverse Lights

they even have the same pic's
you just got charged extra for box brand and cuz amazon shopper tend to spend more ;P
im pretty sure its identical in case of specs and component

turn them on for 10+ min under the sun and it will show you then error when overheating for a split second

mine as i mentioned act weirdly with the slow hazard on off time i think they don't know how to react to that higher load as they're made for faster flashing
to proof that i tried to do it this morning and it worked 100% turning the normal rate hazard takes away the error message
I clicked on your link and the bulbs look very different to me. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing?

Your bulbs left vs mine right. Totally different. I checked again 15 mins ago. Car in the sun, remote start for 10 mins.

Too bad they didnt work for you. Mine work great, so I'm happy. ;-) tested them three times today in 89 degree direct sunlight weather. Zero faults. So, yay me! Was a good $20 bucks spent. Cheers!

A ton of Amazon's products are just rebranded Ali Express stuff that they charge 5+ times more for. It's hilarious seeing people saying they'll never buy from Ali Express earlier in the thread not realizing the stuff they're buying from Amazon was probably bought from Ali Express by resellers lol

89 degree is a joke!!
its 115 here on average
also i didnt say they didnt work for me its just the slow hazard (when using remote start) is causing a brief error message that can be easily removed
double cheers

I don't think anyone is disputing the service from Ali Express, rather the malware commonly associated with it. Aside from the phishing, malware has been pretty common. This is one big reason why I personally avoid it. @Cgo 's bulbs were only $5 more than the Ali Express equivalent, but shipping is substantially faster. Worth the price increase IMO, nevermind the potential for software bugs.

Phishing is common to any service, and has nothing to do with Ali Express; in fact, there are more phishing attempts with more popular services like Amazon, Paypal, etc. (I've actually never seen a phishing attempt specifically targeting Ali Express). What malware are you referring to? Ali Express is owned by Ali Baba, which is a HUGE company; they're not running a multiple billion $ business scamming a few users out of their information. Is this similar to the supposed Huawei security breaches that the NSA loves to talk about constantly without providing a single bit of evidence because they're worried they can't introduce their own backdoors into the system like they can with Western companies? I've been using Ali Express for 3 years, and I know many people who have as well; never had any issues. Of course, if you can find something for $5 more with faster shipping, then by all means...I'm only speaking from a pro consumer POV; I don't like the idea of people paying the insane markup some of the resellers on Amazon are charging for the same product.

Just speaking of personal experience. Most people aren't aware of keyloggers and other such spyware that is currently in your system, or where it came from for that matter. Perhaps, hopefully, AliExpress has become tighter with their security than when I was using it. Never intended to imply that AliExpress themselves or their parent company are involved in scamming in any way shape or form. Last time I used them was 2012.

If you're seeing any phishing on Amazon, then it's coming from your browser.

Despite the above, I'm with you regarding markups.

I grew up in Phoenix and never going back. I'll take my 89 degrees which is hot for where I live now. Lol

You don't miss 120 degree weather in the summer and ridiculous power bills from running the AC 24/7? :roflmao:

I definitely want to swap in some LED's. My only concern is the brightness, as I don't want to blind other drivers while sitting with my blinkers on at a light. Are those Oxilam bulbs reasonable in this regard, or do I run the risk of being obnoxious?

They're not overbearing at all. They look right at home as if from the factory.

Okay, so I got my Oxilam bulbs in the mail and went to try to put one on. I removed the four bolts no problem but the taillight would absolutely NOT BUDGE. I tried getting some leverage on it, slapping it, speaking to it firmly, and it would not move. Am I am idiot or is there something that I'm missing?

Give it a good tap from the inside. I had to do it a few times. Just not too hard. Better few times than one big bang.

Any particular place I should be giving it leverage? I don't want to crack the plastic housing in the back.
