  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 LED vs Stock Turn & Reverse Lights

just to be sure 4 bolts each side right ?
cuz i took 3 bolt and i didnt see the 4th on the top and i almost broke my light off
Same thing happened to me.. I started tapping after taking the 3 bolts off and only then noticed the 4th.

Installed mine today and given I've only seen them in daylight thus far they do look very bright. Looks much better than stock.

Here is a video with stock bulb on the left:

Looks good. Which bulbs did you end up getting?

Seems like the beam is very localized. Just like a brighter incandescent bulb.
Does the LED you used have a wide spread it was most of it just pointing to the front?
I think we need something that doesn't point to the front at all. Wide spread and make use of the actual diffuser so it actually looks like an LED turn signal.

These are my LASFIT, they have no front LED chip, all LEDs are located to the side.

Too bright but looks way better. Filling out the whole area much more!

Yes, they look way better but as you said they are too bright. I gave them 4 stars because of it on my Amazon review

Are the LEDs smd type of do they have a some covering on them?
If they have lenses, you can sand them lightly so it is frosted and reduce the intensity and increase the beam angle.
I used to do it on super bright LEDs on electronic projects.

Unfortunately they have no lenses.

It seems I'm in the minority here, but I don't think mine are too bright at all. I'm using Lasfit as well.

^ I have the same ones as you... and agree that they’re perfect. No tint either.
I think I figured it out. I have the same bulbs as you both but you have the Sport and I have the Prestige. Your Sport have dark tint taillight covers, my Prestige does not. That's the reason why my LASFITs look brighter. Don't you agree?

Okay. So I ended up buying a set of LASFIT LED bulbs to replace the rear turn signals, and reverse lights. Here are the links where I bought them...

Rear Turn Signals: Amazon.com: LASFIT 1156 BA15S P21W 7506 LED Turn Signal Light Blinker Bulbs with CANBUS Anti Hyper Flash, No Load Resistor Need, 2019 Upgraded Intelligent Temperature Control Version- Amber Yellow (Pack of 2): Automotive

Reverse Lights: Amazon.com: LASFIT 912 921 T15 906 W16W Canbus Error Free, Polarity Free LED Bulbs, SMD 3030 Chips 1400 Lumens, Perfect for Reverse Backup Lights, Interior Dome Trunk Lamps, Xenon White(Pack of 2): Automotive

The bulbs are very nice. They feel like a quality product and offer a lot of features (ie heat sinks, CANbus integration, built in resistors [turn signals only]). You can see how they stack up against the OEM bulbs, a bit taller and bigger...View attachment 18598

Installation is just about as easy as any other newer car. You must remove the taillight assembly first, then install the replacement lights. I made a video for those of you who haven't done anything like it before. It's pretty straightforward, though... (Installation is reverse of removal, obviously) If you do end up watching it, forgive my shaky cellphone video, I suck at multitasking and one handed camera operation. :druff:

Now, onto the comparisons!

Turn Signal LED vs OEM

Reverse Lights LED vs OEM

Hope this helps anyone who is interested. For me, they are perfect. They are definitely brighter than stock, but I don't think they're too bright. Worth the upgrade in my opinion!

Are the turn signals the same colour as the mirrors and the signals in front.
And i live in the uae, current temp outside is 46°C around 115F. Will the LED Handle it? If anyone had the same experience please assist me.

Ah that’s it. I forgot that the Sport has mild tint!

I would leave them. Good reliable bulbs and the brighter you are to others...ensures they see you. Think of it as a safety measure ;)

Before long...you won’t even remember you have them. After a week...I completely forgot about them...haha.

Same color with LASFIT bulbs. I live in South Florida and they work flawlessly, temperatures here are very high although not as high as in UAE.

If you want to fix the localized beam, put some black nail polish on the front LEDs.

Do you think you could just put nail polish on the actual LED chips to darken/dim them? I didn't want to mess around putting stuff on the actual chips lest it create some sort of burning or fire hazard.

Depends on the kind of LED. Normally it is the circuitry that generates the heat and not the LED. Maybe just try with a sharpie.
