  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

Saw a 2.0t out in the wild today (Buena Park, Ca). Caught me a little by surprise, but at least I know the tail end looks great in person. :moon:

Dublin, OH now has (17) cars in their inventory. Window stickers are available, but all photos seem to be stock and not specific to something on their lot just yet.

Yes, they put them up on cargurus last Thursday. Mentor also has some listed.

just got a call from my local dealer that they finally have a 3.3T G70 coming in the third Monday in April. I have a test drive scheduled after they do the acceptance and setup in the morning. This is all predicated that is doesn't get sold before this date.

Apparently all of their 3.3Ts were sold out in advance of arrival which is understandable yet still frustrating.

My local dealer in Dublin, California now has 30 G70's in stock after getting their first 3 cars just over a week ago. Seems like a huge allocation to me. Does this mean they are considered a high volume dealership and that's how they got so many? I've never actually visited the dealership, but going to check them out this weekend.

@Tonester - looks like Dublin Genesis has your car. Santiago Silver 3.3 Elite RWD !!

Haha. Let us know how everything goes! 30 sounds like a lot of G70's.

The other Dublin, the one in Ohio, recently posted their initial shipments and it is 30 cars, 18 of them being G70s.

Has anyone caught wind of how long before the MY '20 will be arriving to dealers and if they are still shipping more MY '19s to dealers? I've been keeping a close eye on all my local Genesis dealers to see if they get any new inventory of 2019 G70s - it doesn't seem they are getting more.

The number of 3.3 AWD Sports available in my market (Chicago) is shrinking, and of those still available none are in the color combo I'm after (black and grey stitched seats, any color but black or white). So at this point I'm wondering if there's a chance of more 2019s hitting the dealer lots before the 2020's start to become available.

If already discussed elsewhere, sorry to post on the wrong page. Thx.

Shipments have been constantly flowing to dealers but I have not tracked which models/trims specifically so they could be light on your choice. There has been a lot of speculation/guessing when the 2020s will be available but nothing definite. Seems most think in the Sept-Nov timeframe but who knows for sure.

Thanks for the info, TurtleBoy. I'll keep my eyes open and hope to see my combo on a dealer lot sooner than later.

LOL Impressive memory @Toddasaurus! Actually I am going for the Prestige and the only one I know of is at Genesis of Henderson:
New 2019 Genesis G70 For Sale in Henderson NV | VIN: KMTG34LE6KU015703

I'm gonna try to drive a 3.3T in Dublin tomorrow (not sure they're doing test drives yet), but not likely to pull the trigger yet. I'd really like to see what is coming for 2020 before making a decision. Yes, I'm a glutton for waiting punishment! Considering that there is only 1 build for me, I know my chances are slim that it'll still be available after a 2020 announcement/strong rumor. The other beef I have (no offense Beefer) is I'm not so keen on buying a car that has been sitting on an open storage lot for nearly a year. Yeah, lots of debate about that, but just sayin it is a factor. That said, it would be hard to turn down a big discount on a 2019 if it were to present itself!

At least in Canada, there aren't many changes coming, maybe a power trunk for our 3.3T Sport. But by the time the 2020s are announced, you may be able to find some more discount on the 2019s.

Elgin just posted this today on cars.com - Havana Red 3.3t AWD Sport Black/Gray interior.

I just found out that my favorite Genesis dealer, KEYES in Van Nuys, CA will not have a 2019 franchise. I’ll still be taking my Genesis to them and they said they will have certified techs, valet service and free loaners. They have always done a great job.

For those in the SF valley, they said that Thousand Oaks would become a 2019 Genesis franchise.

I got an email today from Glendale Hyundai/Genesis saying they have a couple of cars already and are still expecting a larger shipment in the middle of next week.
