Maybe I'll get some hate for this post, but I really hope not...
I've been particularly quiet lately and feeling annoyed about the lack of 2019 data from HMG. I made a list of the cars I could potentially see myself owning, plus ones in what felt like "close enough" segment competitors to the Stinger and G70, then built a small table which informs me about which companies have made the best sales/marketing efforts in relation to my interests...
There were only 4 measurements:
a) how many cars does the parent company make which I find interesting
b) can I see what the 2019 model looks like through corporate or third party media
c) have they published an official price
d) can I build one on their website
An 'efficiency' score of 1 is the maximum and means the company seemingly coordinates marketing well (from my perspective!). I.E.- Parent company X makes two cars I like, both have photos out, but only one is configurable on their website and has a price...
photos (+2)
price is known (+1 out of a possible 2)
build on website (+1 out of a possible 2)
highest possible points = 6
actual published data points = 4
efficiency = .66 (66%)

To re-state, this was just a thought exercise to see if the way I've been feeling had any objective data. Based on the cars I'm interested in (and a few in closely related segments) this is what I can figure in the simplest of terms which company seems to market their cars 'best'. I'm only one guy, and not all of these cars are in the same segment...they are only competing for my interest! If you do not happen to like the same cars I do, then this data won't mean as much. It also may not be fair to judge a parent company based on the child companies, since I'm not sure how much one has influence on the other...but when broken out by specific car company, the data was fairly consistent (and saved me from posting a larger pic).
Cars which made my list:
Acura TLX, Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Sport, Audi S5, RS3, BMW M2, 4 series, Cadillac CTS-V, Chevrolet Camaro 1SS, Stingray, Dodge Challenger SRT, Ford Mustang Bullit, Shelby GT350, Genesis G70 Sport, Honda Civic Type R, Infiniti Q60, Jaguar F-Type, Kia Stinger, Lexus RC-F, Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, 6, Mercedes AMG C43, Nissan 370Z, GT-R, Porsche 718, Subaru WRX, WRX-STI, Subaru BRZ, Toyota 86, Volkswagen Arteon, Volvo S60.
Please feel free to poke holes, but I ask for you to be constructive in the process..!
