G70 US Availability?

The G70's are sitting at the dock in the northeast. Have a friend that works for them, and he saw them 3 weeks ago.

He's actually the brother of a friend of mine. Met him at a party a few weeks ago, when he wanted to know who's Genesis was sitting out in the front. I didn't ask him which port but, seems to confirm what others have posted on here, that they are sitting at the port.

My dealer said they were in Baltimore. Hyundai also uses Philadelphia.

Actually I don’t recall anyone saying they saw them at the port, only that they were told or assumed they were at the port and no one has said for how long.

I can only tell you what I was told. I didn't personally see them myself, although, I did speak to my sales guy, and he did tell me that "someone" also told him that they saw them at the port, and they're "beautiful". His exact words.

Thanks for the brochure. I called Genesis headquarters to see if I could get any more info. I was on hold for 10 minutes. I asked about release and was told the end of this month in CA and FL and then working their way inland. How accurate that is who knows. I live in CA so of coarse that’s good news for me if accurate. The lady I spoke to hinted that the cars are at the ports. I was also told that the configurator was coming up in the next week or two. Sorry for spotty info but there it is for what it’s worth. She was also able to tell me which dealers in my area would be selling the Genesis. She told me two of the larger ones, Sacramento and Roseville. Roseville is already branded Genesis on their website. I asked about pricing and she said between $40K and $50K.

Great news for us in CA! I was concerned we'd be skipped at launch because CA is so full of regulation, I thought they may not get it done in time. Thanks for the info!

This is the response I got from the "New Car Manager" of my local Genesis dealer (NH) when I asked if they would have any G70s soon:

"Your guess is as good as mine. To put it into perspective: I can see all my cars that are built or scheduled to be built through the end of December. I can see my cars before they have Vehicle Identification Numbers and they are still just engine numbers.

I am completely blind to my G70s, G80s and G90s. There are none showing built, there are no engine numbers. Nothing shows to me."

I asked my local dealer on 08/30 when they expected the G70 to arrive and their response was 45 to 60 days which would be mid to end of October. I’m half convinced they were guessing but thought I’d add to the speculation.

Happy to see the choice of Burgundy/Black for the interior. This may add some style for the non-pigment colors. Since I'm a big fan of Santiago Silver, this Burgundy/Black may look sweet with it!

Will the US "Prestige" 2.0 trim have all the tech features like HUD and the overhead camera and also have the 18" all season tires I prefer? It's hard to tell what tech features the Prestige actually comes with. The brochure says the 19" summers are included in the "Sport" and "Dynamic" trims, so I assume the Prestige will have the all season 18s.
