Wonder if they will markup the 3.3T AWD Sport...which is what I am after. If they do...and no other dealers in VA...I will try to go to NC. I am looking for a dealer that has their stuff in order in NC. Nobody knows anything. Surprise surprise.

The cabin felt smaller for some reason. The seats not as comfy. The stitching also felt cheap and there was no contrast (black on black). The steering wheel felt different as well. It’s hard to describe but the overall aura felt cheaper to me. Even my husband said so and another person who was there test driving the cars. It’s obviously a very personal thing but for me the interior means a lot.

Oh and only heated steering on RWD. annoying because I wanted the AWD and heated steering. No clue why they do that.

Very interesting. I'd be curious to see what interior colors they'll have on the 6MT Sport. I know I want red or blue for the exterior.

Sure my dealer added $1,500 to the sticker for nitrogen and wheel locks, did I pay it?

Nitrogen is expensive and hard to get. Not like you can just pull it out of thin air. Oh, wait. . . . .

From how it seemed in reviews (seats accurate but wheels not accurate in that vid?), it looked like "gray two-tone" was for the 6MT. See page 24 of the non-U.S. brochure, lower right, synthetic leather.

I'm in a warm climate but I love having a heated steering wheel. I'll be going for an AWD. My guess is I won't be able to get one until February or so at this rate but at least it shouldn't be marked up by then.

I have the sticker for the 3.3 Sport that they are gonna get in 10 days. It’s RWD. Take a look at my attachment. I don’t think they are gouging on this model. But it’s not AWD. is this the same one you were thinking about?

That’s good. I tried to buy a G80 sport from them. We couldn’t come to an agreement either. Got a bad taste in my mouth after that. Dang I’m burning through dealerships.

That brings up a question I was going to post eventually about the discount. About how long after the introduction of the G80 Sport were you trying to make the deal and what % discount were they offering? Thanks.

This was 31st of May. I dont know when they came out tho. The car was a loaner that they passed off as “new”. Remember there were 3k miles on this car! Not new in my opinion! Sticker was 55k and I got them down to 53. I wanted 52 and I would have bought it. We came within 1k of a deal. They played games with the numbers. I had a BMW trade and they’d just play number games and not actually reduce the price. After hours of wasting my time we didn’t do it. As an aside. I am not a Feminazi by any stretch. But they tried all the woman BS tricks on me. At one point the sales guy said “oh this is modern times. You can make a decision with out your husband” bluck. Shut up dude. They also said that my BMW had a shimmy in the steering wheel so they only were gonna give me 7500 for it. I balked. I sold it privately for 13,500. The shimmy was a total lie!

Buying a car is never pleasant. That’s why I love what Genesis Canada did.

I think we all wish we had the Canadian model. With a $5k markup on top of an already $7k more expensive MSRP it might be cheaper to take that $13k and just buy one from Canada! The best/worst part is that if somebody does buy it at $58k, only after that will they mention how it's almost winter and you basically need to buy a second set of rims and all-season tires. I'm sure they'll offer a lucrative deal on those as well! haha

Seriously though I'm pretty bummed. I was hoping for a 2.0 Prestige AWD but losing the wheels really changes the car. I could get RWD but then I lose the heated steering wheel and, you guessed it, need to buy some wheels and all-season tires! Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Those 2018 Elantras are starting to look appealing at ~20-23k. Even an Optima or Sonata for $30-35k isn't looking so bad...

They don't have them in inventory on their site so couldn't tell. Since I'm interested in the G80 Sport I haven't looked into the pricing of the G70s other than what I have seen on here. Seemed high to me but wasn't sure.
