If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. G70 US Availability?

When looking at the states with inventory and the states listed with dealers on Genesis' Dealer Locator, there are two states yet that have dealers ready for inventory - Arizona and Minnesota. My guess is we will see vehicles there fairly soon.

I'm thinking that at the rate they're going, there won't be widespread availability until near the Spring of next year. If some states still have lawsuits going and others haven't gotten their paperwork together, then it's gonna be a while.

Looks like CT finally finished the paperwork. Expect the G70 to arrive in Connecticut this week! Key Hyundai or Genesis of Milford will be the first of the dealers with inventory in the state.

Here’s my very detailed review of the 2019 Genesis G70 Dynamic Havana Red

Overview:

I went from a 2009 BMW 135i Convertible to this, so some is very new to me...esp. infotainment. Consider my perspective in my review.

I really love this car. It’s exhilarating to drive. The ride is wonderful, seats are comfortable, even as a passenger. As a 5’4” female, the car fits me perfectly. Not too big, not too small. Husband is 6’3” and driving he’s got plenty of space. However, as a passenger, there’s not a ton of foot room...meaning the tops of his feet hit the upper part of the passenger foot space.

Given that I’ve never had any type of infotainment, some of this pertains to all the toys I get to play with that I’ve never had the pleasure of enjoying...Alot of these are super nit picky. I wanted to give a very detailed review so that you understand the nuances of the car.

Bottom line, I feel fantastic in this car, I feel it’s a head-turner, and the creature comforts are top notch...

Loves:
- Drives to perfection. Everything about how this car handles is perfect. I test drove Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Mercedes, Lexus, Lincoln...no comparison even in their “sport modes”. I will admit not all of the cars I tested were 6 bangers. I did drive some 4 bangers...don’t waste your time IMHO
- Styling is a head turner. The car is really sharp...beefy, aggressive, pretty damn hot! But we all know that :)
- Sport mode acceleration is really fast! I switch between Sport and comfort...but mainly keep it in Sport
- No turbo lag in my opinion. U press the pedal and the car goes! I had a BMW 135i convertible and there was definitely turbo lag.
- AWD makes a YUGE difference. It’s been raining a-lot and I have punched that gas pedal and the rear tires don’t spin. Very nice!
- Mirrors automagically fold when you lock the car
- When you put it in reverse, your music turns down...ya know, cuz lower music makes you see better ;)
- When using native Navi, turn by turn is in the Headup display! If they would only have cop alerts too.
- Top view camera...I can finally park straight in a parking space!
- Adaptive cruise control...really great in rush hour. Hubs kept asking “did you do that or the car?”...or at times he was asking if I was gonna break...I said “Lucy got this”
- Seat adjustment buttons on the left side of the passenger seat...so u can move it up or down very easily for your passengers or peeps in the back seat. Genius!
- Napa diamond leather with the red stitching. Super comfortable, beautiful, stunning
- Many seat adjustment options, even side bolsters!
- When you put it in Sport mode, the side bolsters tighten up
- Remote start from your App...Set your temp from your phone. Starts up and is awaiting for you.
- When the navi gives oral instructions, the speakers in the front mute...but the back speakers stay on. Totally cool!
- Wireless charging is neat, but if you want to do Android or Apple, it has to be wired. You should probably turn off the Qi charger because the phone gets really hot...
- Touchscreen is within reaching distance, even for me with T-rex arms. I don’t find that not having a knob to control the infotainment is a bad thing at all.
- No autoshut off at stop lights! Yay!
- All the other cool features like heated mirrors, smart trunk, safety features.
- Car really feels like a luxury car.
- Parked next to an M4, my Lucy looked way hotter. Dunno what year it was, but Lucy beat it by a mile. And at a fraction of the price. I know, superficial...

MEH:
- The fake engine noise they push thru the speakers. U can turn it off. I leave it on tho :)
- Some things are intuitive and others aren’t. I find myself constantly looking for the clock.

Dislikes:
- If using native navi, u can’t enter an address if you are moving. Really dumb.
- Native navi is not intuitive at all. I still can’t find my presets...I need to read the manual to learn more about it.
- Cabin noise, it’s not a quiet car. I think the G80’s are much quieter. You can hear the road, and rain and stuff. But it’s ok, just turn up your tunes.
- Cannot run WAZE (so u can see where the cops are) and the native navi at same time when phone is plugged in. Best of both worlds would be to run both and see your cops and also see the turn-by-turn on the Headup display.
- Apple Carplay is buggy. Has crashed my iPhone X a couple times...it just freezes. I know this is probably not Genesis’ fault, but it’s annoying as shit.
- Comfort mode is the default so you have to switch it every time u start (I don’t think I can change that but haven’t really looked yet)
- Seat settings don’t change with different keys. So if my husband has been driving it, and then I drive it, the key isn’t paired to our individual settings. Maybe this is a setting?
- You have to press the “brake hold” button on every start...the feature that lets u long press the brake at a light and take foot off

Nice to have in next upgraded Model:
- LED lighting...anywhere!
- A lighted entry that says Genesis under the door
- Automagic trunk (for convenience...like if u need to close it from the inside)
- Updated Infotainment (although it’s really not bad, just needs updated UI)
great review, thanks. just one question, in the last picture, it seems there is like 2 inches space for back seat leg room. is it possible to push the passenger seat that far back? or I'm seeing it wrong?

I also believe they should come out with it here in the States as an option. If the next gen G80 has the Digital Display so should the G70 for either 2020/2021. I’m currently in Florida and I’ve checked with my dealers and they are still unsure of when they will get it but I am on the list to be first called when they get inventory.

See above. Glaz is in Florida.

What state?
What is "your state"? It is really helpful to know at least the home state of posters. A closer location would be even better.

Looks like CT finally finished the paperwork. Expect the G70 to arrive in Connecticut this week! Key Hyundai or Genesis of Milford will be the first of the dealers with inventory in the state.

Go to this PDF...not sure if it is updated weekly, etc. It lists Franchise Licenses in CT...
https://www.ct.gov/dmv/lib/dmv/d_r_list.pdf

Next...look for M1007. This entry is Genesis Corporate (California)...and it means that Genesis USA is allowed to sell in the State.
So since above exists...individual dealers can now officially get their Franchise Licenses to sell.

Look for N2639. This is Genesis of Milford. They have their license...and can now sell cars. As mentioned...they should get inventory very soon.

That is the only dealer so far. So in the future...bring that up and search for "Genesis" to see if new ones pop up. That is what I have been doing for Virginia (different source obviously).

Hope that helps.

I spoke to Route 60 Genesis in Vero Beach today and they told me that they are getting their first shipment of G70s in mid November.

That might be true...but thinking not.

Reason is...Genesis USA is not even allowed to sell in FL. Once they are able to...each dealer will have to apply for a Franchise License which can take quite a while.

Here is your search for FL. Nothing comes up with Genesis Corporate.

Can't seem to find an equivalent list for my state (Oregon). Damn...
And here ya go...
Oregon DMV - Business Regulations Dealer Licensing Search Page

So I see Genesis Corp listed...so Genesis USA is allowed to sell in Oregon. Now individual dealers need to get their shit together and get Franchise Licenses.

Update: The one listing might be for the actual dealer in Beaverton. Usually when I see Genesis Motors LLC...that is for Corporate to sell in the State. But perhaps OR is different. Anyhoo...that looks like a dealer franchise to me.

My read is the license for Beaverton is a dealer license. Note the ownership name: RAMIREZ PALACIOS, JORGE

Yep...your 2nd search shows Genesis Motor LLC can sell in the State. The link that we both shared the same lists the dealers.

So OR has one dealer !! But no inventory for 2019's as per their website.

I don’t think that is a Genesis dealer. Searching the name and phone number comes up with The Jeff Auto Repair. The Jeff Auto Repair

This.

Pulling up that address brings up some garbage dump of a house, surrounding by apartment complexes. I don't get it...

Ah! You found it!

Something to keep in mind. That search shows that Genesis is a registered business in the state but that doesn’t mean they have a license to franchise. Each state can be different but in some others I have looked at Genesis needed a specific manufacture license in order to be able to franchise dealers.
