Genesis 2015 TV ADs

Anyone notice that there doesn't seem to be that many adverts on tv for the new genesis, yet I've seen 3 or 4 new ones for the latest Sonata.

Wonder why they are not promoting it that much.

I think they should show the driver-less convoy on TV, that is a fabulous add.

They sell about 10 times as many Sonata as Genesis Sedan. Same for Elantra. Hyundai expects to sell over 200,000 Sonata vehicles in 2015. The Genesis has been around since 2009, and they have aired a lot of TV commercials over the years, including Super Bowl ads ($3 million for 30 seconds) so they have a pretty good idea about the correlation of ad dollars spent and how that translates into increased sales. Also, the more they spend on TV advertising, the less they can spend on incentives to give customers discounts.

HMA blew a good hunk of their 2014 marketing wad on the Superbowl ad.

Yup, I forgot about that, it's always funny when they show Sean Bean driving the car because they do so many close ups of the badge on the front.

And of course their tag line "Genesis of a legend"

I don't think I've seen that one, I seen the one with the father/son and the one with the guy turning on the snow drive feature.

They also had a lot of advertising at the World Cup. I hear there is much more advertising in Europe, which is there virgin market.

I am seeing a lot of 2015 Genesis ads on CNBC (Business News). They are particularly playing up the AWD.

They've been promoting it regularly on the Chinese language channels here in the San Francisco Bay Area regularly, without the "Hyundai" reference though. I've never seen it advertised on any other channels.

Not only no TV but in Tampa Bay the Hyundai dealers have full page adds for all the bottom line cars and no mention of Genesis or Equus,,Guess they are just not that interested in selling them .. They must realize its a niche market and ads produce more results for base level cars...
