  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis coupe competing with sti,350z,evo,srt4

I just traded my 2007 Saturn Sky Redline(turbo),for a Genesis GT coupe. My Sky(with many engine mods)was much quicker off the line. The Genesis seems to have more power between the 40-70mph range. The build quality and ride comfort are much better in the Genesis.I would have to give a slight edge to the Sky as far as handling. My Sky from the factory was 260hp at the crank and 260pft of torque. When I traded it in ,it had 292hp at the wheels and the torque was at 290.But no trunk, two seats,it just got to be to much of a hassle.Well any way I like the Genesis very much, for the money I don't think you can find a more complete car.

Lol. U guys r funny.
Like dude said in the middle of this blog.
It can't really fully compete with luxury marks for sure.
Quality difference is too far of a stretch.
The 350/370z variants are 2 seat coupes that compete with
Upmarket roadsters but not fully either.
It doesn't truly compete with muscle cars because the gen coupe
Is technologically superior.
It doesn't compete against the evo or sti for 2 major reasons.
4 doors and AWD.
So who does genny coupe compete with?
Well in price and packaging it would directly compete with the
Mitsubishi Eclipse. But its fwd.
So who competes?
Well the closest and only true competitors is the aging mazda rx8
The closest indirect competitors are G37 and 1 series. But as long as those
Cars stay ahead in technology and keep a luxurious interior. Genny
Will always be 2nd place against them.(tho I think genny interior is nice)
Everyone else in the end will be an indirect competitor and any comparison
Made out of the 3 mentioned. Should only be done for fun.
Oh and wats up wit the dude cryin over the caps? "When you write in CAPS it
Seems like u r yelling. Please don't write in caps." LMAO, GET LAiD PLEASE!
Sum people write the fruitiest stuff. LOL.

Oh yeah. Hadda come back on an afterthought. And only the 128 is a close indirect competior cuz th135
Is a twin turbo v6 turbos on 6's is a automatic delete.
The genny in 6 competes with N/A
The genny 4 is a turbo. So she may compete with turbo coupes
Under 30k with under 250hp.
And thinking about it. The realest realest competitor was
The G35. The interior in the g35 was sub par for luxury but
Was on par as a sports coupe. And with 306hp torsen limited n
19s on the sport package. The 07 G35 was the direct competitor.
And with a better tranny better handling and the fact that g35's are no longer
Made. Genny wins. Lol.
I think instead of being a competitor. I think genny is carrying the torch now.
She filled a segment lots of companies pulled out of or upmarketed the vehicles.

On Edmunds........the "What others are paying price" is dropping pretty quick !!!!

Be gettin new ones for a song and a dance by the end of the year

This is common. Are you getting numbers from a Carspace thread, or from TMV? TMV tends to be way off early on.

Directly off Edmunds site. I punch in the car I am looking for with options and it give me the TMV.. It has gone down from the initial release of cthe car. From my experience buying, they have always been in the ball park, if not a tad high on prices. I have always been able to do better than they say I should;)

I don't think the TMV numbers are inaccurate for very new models. They probably don't have enough data.

Anyone should be able to do better than TMV--it's the average of what people are paying, including people with trades, poor credit, or an aversion to dickering.
