  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Free NACS Adapter Thread: Post Your Updates

Νο Μαiler for me today. How does everyone know that they are receiving something specific to Genesis? Is it a feature of my usps?

Received adapter today. Timeline:
Email - 5/13 (confirmed same day)
Order Processed - 5/22 (simply said I've confirmed and I'll get email when shipped)
Adapter Received - 6/2 (USPS ground)

Never received email confirming shipment. USPS tracking (informed delivery) had no information if it was coming from Genesis either.

Anyone get any call backs, emails, or other? Even my once helpful manager at the NCA dept. has gone radio-silence.

I got an email telling me that "due to the nature of my concern, my request has been escalated and that they will contact me with any updates."

Not sure why it is that hard to just send me the dang adapter.

It’s just crazy that in 2025 a simple email & fulfillment campaign can be so screwed up! If they had 1/2 a brain they would have tested the initial April email campaign on what’s called trail or test list to all of the GMA marketing/support folks and would have discovered the error early on. But instead they just defer, delay, and continue to treat their potential repeat customers with contempt and mis-information. It’s not the adapter now for us, it’s the arrogance of the GMA staff and managmenet team. This company was never run well from the start! (see also Glassdoor reviews) . Great cars, awful company, proven again and again.

Absolutely. It’s about their inability to communicate and provide proper customer service.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Just a survey email about my most recent experience with their customer service (last Friday's call regarding my adapter).

I was inspired by this idea and hadn't heard from Genesis in a couple of days so I replied to their last email and asked what information they needed from me to skip the email and just send me the adapter. Here's the response, lol:

"Thank you for contacting Genesis Customer Care. We understand your excitement for the NACS adapter.

We are eager to send you the adapter, however, we are unable to send the email manually or the adapter. Please note we have escalated your case for further assistance. We will update you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience."

Is THIS the issue with regards to "communication preferences"? I just did the main section "ON" and never did the drop-down caret to manually select the individual boxes. Changed just now.

According to the 2 reps I contacted; they confirmed all of my settings were correct but that the mailing just did NOT go out. They biffed it, and now they are ignoring any further requests for updates or information. What a clown car!

I got nothing from Genesis after my call on Friday. I called back, and they were able to find the case number. She told me 7-10 business days to expect an email response or a call back. I said, based on history, I did not have confidence in the system. I said I would call back Monday, and she said that it was not 7-10 business days and offered to count them out for me.
I have no idea how Genesis found engineering staff to make such nice cars, but it can not competently staff corporate operations!

Check out the comments on this video about Hyundai and the free NACS adapter. They sound like a bunch of GV60 owners! Since the Hyundai USA and Genesis USA headquarters are both in the same building (just a few miles from me), they are obviously using the same f'd up email system. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!

If only they somehow knew the address and contact information of every eligible owner…

That was helpful! Thanks!
I’m sure there are staff meetings in the GMA HQ blaming this all on Hyundai or rationalizing that we Gen owners are looking the “gift horse in the mouth” and should be just happy and shut up that we’re getting a “Free Gift” BS! It’s NOT A GIFT IF IT’S NEVER GIVEN!

More ill will and brand erosion and they still won’t return calls or email for over 3 weeks now!
We’re done with this poorly run excuse for a car company!
Rant off, have a nice drive ;-)
