  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

3.3T Genesis G70 Oil and Filter change (how-to)

Looking to make your Genesis unique? Look no further than KDM Warehouse - where orders are shipped immediately!
Nice. I had a '19 Sport Prestige, then a '22 3.5T GV70 Sport Prestige, and now a '23 G70 3.3 Sport Prestige. I guess you can say I love the Genesis offerings. Is yours Havana Red?

It is :)
Totaled a 23 G70 2.0 Sport, wanted the 3.3 and found a loaded 21 in that Havana Red and that sealed the deal. I miss the larger touchscreen in the 23 but prefer the overall look of the 21, but both versions look pretty sweet!
Here's the 23, then the wrecked 23, and our current 21

Very nice '21. The additional 113hp was welcomed, I'm sure. Hope you weren't hurt in the accident. Are you going to tint your windows? It will definitely add to the WOW factor, like on your '23.

This was my 2019 G70 3.3. No window tint.

And my 2023 G70 3.3. With window tint.

And my last Genesis, the 2022 GV70 3.5. I miss the pure luxury of that one, but don't miss the horrible transmission programming. I couldn't live with it. But it got the most raves/attention of the three.

Very nice group there Bob!
We just put 15% tint on, and I vinyl wrapped the window trim (gloss black to match the pillars) and have a spoiler to install tomorrow. Might get lowering springs, but had coilovers on our Infiniti G37 and not sure I want to go down that road again. It's nice to drive without having to worry about every pothole and road issue, and our driveway is steep so there's daily maneuvering involved there when lowered too :(

Can you post a photo of the wrapped window trim? I'd love to see it. Did you wrap the other dark chrome trim to match the window trim? Post a photo of the rear spoiler, too.

CT has strict tint restrictions, so I went with 35% on the sides and rear glass, and 50% on the windshield even though the windshield is a no-no here. I thought about doing lowering springs, but thought the factory height looks pretty good and I don't have to worry about bottoming out. Some cars really need the drop. The G70 IMO, not so much.

I second pictures of the wrapped window trim. See if they have to remove anything or if they wrap in place? The dark tent chrome window debacle has mine looking like crap so open to options here for an easy correction that will look nice.

Got some time off tomorrow so after I get the spoiler on I'll shoot some pics (y)

Sounds like a plan! (y) Thanks.

And @pulsar

Spoiler got on ebay, it was a perfect fit, much better than a factory Infiniti G37 spoiler and better than another one I put on a Mitsubishi. This one didn't require any motivation to get the exact fit, even came with some adhesion promoter and the box it was shipped in was extremely well protected and the spoiler well wrapped inside. Still can't believe the deal, and I'm glad it's a black metallic rather than the hydro-dipped pseudo carbon fiber on most spoiler offerings for these cars
I will probably wrap the small black chrome strips on the mirrors and the grill frame (not the honeycomb center section). And this is 15% window tint (not ceramic). I also used wrap black spray paint to black out the wing emblems and lettering.20231219_123432.webp20231219_123443.webp20231219_125229.webp20231219_125300.webp20231219_125312.webp20231219_125326.webp20231219_125335.webp20231219_125346.webp20231219_125533.webp

I like the rear spoiler! A nice, subtle touch. Mine, by comparison. It looks good IMO, but the rear spoiler might be something I'll consider at some point.

I agree. We'll see. Installation of the spoiler is rather easy. I do wish Genesis had offered a black emblem/lettering option. I definitely would have gone with it.

Love that Havana Red.

that wrap paint is easy to apply and peels away right at the base of the emblems leaving a perfect result. If you do this just stay away from Rustoleum wrap spray, it contains Acetone and can eat into the clear coat. Duplicolor makes a good one that won't cause issues.

Thanks for that info.

Loved my '09 G37 as well - best & fastest car I ever had. Just a pleasure to drive. Went from it to my G80.
Had an 07 G35 4dr and 09 G37 4dr, great cars both of them, too bad they didn't really evolve much to the current rendition, and much prefer the overall look of the G35/37s vs the latest Q50s. VQs sound so good w/ a proper exhaust too, still getting used to the G70 tone, needs some work. The G70 8AT is light years better than the crap Infinti 7AT however, wish I would have had a 6MT in both of those Infinitis.
And I know looks are subjective but the 19-21 G70s look SOOO much better than 19-21 Infintis for sure, and most any sedan out there IMO :)
