  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis G70 Reviews

^ interesting review, pitting those two trims together. i was not aware the Stinger was more expensive than the G70. that seems odd.

so with the G70 you get more sport/performance AND more luxury, and it costs less than the Stinger. and you're not driving a Kia. i suppose if a guy preferred the size and styling of the Stinger that could sway him in that direction, but objectively and subjectively the G70 "wins".

314lbs extra weight is no joke but the test Stinger seems down on power. we shouldn't see such a large gap in acceleration times between the two.

There was a guy in Korea who dynoed both at the same time and the G70 put down more power to the wheels. They are tuned differently.

Larger liftback variants tend to be a good bit more expensive (see 4 Series GC vs. 3 Series, A5 Sportback vs. A4), but the G70 narrows the price-gap (where it's pretty much a wash) w/ a more opulent interior and the Genesis service amenities (loaner vehicles, etc.).

Also a Stinger AWD compared to a G70 RWD. But even with an AWD G70, the Stinger tested would have been about $1K more expensive, I think.

Hmmm.... So the Stinger has more comfortable seats. It would be nice to try them. I wonder if they fit the G70 and come in a similar color (wish I had black), lol. With all the electric seat controls and air bags, it would probably be a miracle if they would bolt in without issue.

Definitely not more comfortable IMO.

Check out my response to Nuthadey on the Stinger forum. Totally using his own argument against him. Lol.
I bet you’ll get some fun replies to that. Something to the affect of G70 owners coming out of the woodwork and blah blah blah

To me, the stinger community, boy racer perception and questionable modding decisions helped solidify my choice in the G70. But mostly I just shopped within the size class I was interested in :p

Another Stinger vs. G70 video. But really it's more like a G70 review with an occasional Stinger reference.

I like watching Joe but damn he needs to be consistent with his info. He's reviewed the 3.3t three different times and each time he gives a different 0-60 and 1/4 time. Lol

Yup and he doesn't do enough research. Agree he is a personable guy though!

Not that this is a very notable review but the appeal of the aussie accent combined with the stunning reviewer is worth a view.

I'm not even sure my pronunciation of Hyundai is correct.. Hon-die! Lol
