  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis G70 Reviews

Wow, that’s a huge price increase for that model. Halfway between $60-$70K! What happened to Genesis being an affordable alternative to BMW?

That was a great refreshing review, not just because they love the G70 but because they explain the subtle differences clearly between it and its competitors.

One of the best G70 reviews I've seen.

The European G70 seems pretty neutered compared to what the rest of the world gets. 4-pot only and rather poor suspension tuning. What a shame that they're the only market that gets the shooting brake.

Weirdly though, they do get the full LCD digital gauge cluster, which isn't even on offer in North America.

that maginfied tachometer thing sure is subtle. I haven't seen this anywhere else so far. Even after driving my car for 6 months, you never stop learning.
Possibly because if you're accelerating fast enough to where you need to watch the tach, you probably shouldn't be watching the tach lol.

I believe the rest of the world or combination thereof, where they also get heated rear seats (3 stage) and power lift trunk. Not sure on the specifics.

Interesting comparison:

Yes. Thanks for posting. Although value certainly is a consideration and was influential with my purchase as well, I would’ve liked for the comparison to focus more on the differences of not only what Hass to be paid for as extra options on the BMW but many other things that the BMW does not even offer. The quilted seats were mentioned but they neglected to mention the seats are ventilated. Was also neglected to mention that they are real leather not BMWs fake stuff. Sometimes I think they use the term simple to really mean that the BMWs are generally rather ugly inside. Anyway just my thoughts and thanks again for the video.

I think they did mention that in the video.

What came across as a surprise to me was their assessment of how numb the BMW was to drive compared to the G70. The M340i has a much stiffer suspension setup than the G70, but the M440i seems to have softened things up considerably.

It's too bad the U.S. G70's don't get the digital gauge cluster anymore.

Not really a nuanced review. Maybe a blog? Seems very subjective, and the owner refers to the car as his (or hers, as "Jordan" could be a woman's name as well).

The author had me here...😁

There aren't many of them around, so when you see one, you know the owner is someone with class and style. Or at least knows a strong value proposition when they see one.

Mr. (see photo with big red beard*) Golson writes about a diversity of transportation related subjects, including cars. It’s not a detailed C&D or RT but a well-written perspective from a person who likes value and safety, along with the driving experience.

Good find and call-out, thank you. If you're reading this Mr Golson (and there's a good chance you are if you're a G70 owner), I certainly didn't mean any offense.

^ I pray you know that isn't real...right? LOL

lol yes, and I'm probably revealing too much about my disturbingly adolescent sense of humour, but that is one of my favorite movies of all time.
