  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis GV70 Reviews

Glad to hear you love it. I went with the same choice but in a different color. So hard to get any reviews a 2.5L
I agree. And seems like the 2.5L are the ones in highest demand.

What do you think about your seats in the 2.5 Advanced?

What do you think about your seats in the 2.5 Advanced?
I’ll chime in as well since I also have a 2.5 Advance. I find the seats very comfortable. I’ve taken a couple road trips since I bought it in the first week of August and it was great, super quiet, and comfortable. I’ve had no issues with the car. I would like to see better gas mileage but otherwise no complaints.

Thanks for the input. I could only get so much out of my test drive on a 100 degree day. I did notice that the cooling the seats worked much better than my RDX.

Is the GV70 2.5T sportier than the RDX?

Pretty close. The 2018 RDX I have right now has 279HP which is definitely plenty fast enough for about anything I do. So I figured the 300hp from the 2.5T will be fine.

I've had a G80 base 2.5 for weeks now as my 3.5 GV70 is in the shop and while that 2.5 makes good power he 3.5 is much better in my opinion. Smoother, less turbo lag. Less shifting..its just better.

I would agree with this. So many adjustable settings for seating. The leather feels nice. The heating/cooling function for the seats are noticeable almost immediately. I find it very comfortable at 6'1 185lbs.

I agree. Reads like they tried hard to bash it. Wish there were a comment section.
My favorite thing to do in British reviews is see how often a Jaguar product gets shoehorned in, because the Brits in their egocentric manner love to promote their home brand even when their vehicles are some of the least compelling options in their class and almost never get mentioned in any North American review.

Lo and behold... page 3. It just isn't a British review unless Jaguar wins something, no matter how irrelevant lol.
Legroom in the rear isn’t the greatest behind a 6ft+ driver, and you get 542 litres of space in the boot with the rear seats in place. For context, the X3, Q5 and GLC all get 550 litres, whilst the F-Pace wins this particular battle with 650 litres.

I think Genesis knows exactly what they’re doing with reviews. Personally, I don’t really care whether the reviews come out or now. I love seeing almost no other GV 70s on the road.
i agree,,,have a lexus es they are everywhere

The Macan is a great car! My assistant has one and she lets me drive it occasionally when we go somewhere together. But they are maybe too successful for their own good and you see them literally everywhere. I haven’t owned a Porsche since my 991.1 and don’t feel a strong urge to get another one (but if Porsche decides to put backseats in the GT3 Touring then maybe that would change). The Macan leans more toward performance whereas the GV70 leans more toward luxury, but both cars have a good measure of each attribute, just in different concentrations.
i been look at a macan ,,,,look nice,,nice size for me ,,,but every little thing is extra ,,,,,you still need a key to start it

Did you drive 4/6 cylinders? I test drove 4 and didn’t like it, they didn’t have Madan S, but I’ve heard that’s where Porsche’s driving experience is expected. Base engine (2021) isn’t really that interesting.
macan s is way to go ,,,,about 15k more than genesis ,,,,,macan holds there vaule really well

We almost bought a Macan S. Would only buy with adaptive air suspension. Without it, ride was too rough.

My wife did not like the Macon, but you are right about the depreciation. I really do not see why, but the market forces are what they are. We tend to keep our cars for a number of years, so depreciation does not factor into our decision. When we traded my Gen Coupe and wife's Elantra GT her car was the "youngest" one we ever traded at 8 years. Wait, I lie. I had a Sunfire GT (don't laugh as my wife wanted to be a stay at home mom...best decision ever btw). That car was a total POS but it did have a nice Getrag manual five speed.
