  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis GV70 Reviews

Have you tried deflating the lumbar?
I’ve tried everything. It’s just the shape of the bottom cushion and the firmness. I use the butt massager when my rear starts going numb on longer drives which helps a little. And if it isn’t too hot outside with the level 1 seat warmer too.

So quick "review update" - today I'm in a 3.5 GV70 Loaner with the quilted seats. I can say that 100% the quilted seats are softer and more comfortable than the mesh. I still have the same issue with lack of support from the bottom cushion - but that 3.5 engine is so good that who cares lol. Definitely messed up getting the 2.5

In the words of James from Throttle House: ”This car just feels right with the 3.5…”.

The weather app only works a quarter of the time? Is that true?
Lol. Mine has never worked! 😳 Personally, I’d be more concerned about the drivers door rattle. I’m glad I don’t have that!

I noticed a rattle on mine (driver seat) and the dealership said they didn't notice. I notice it a lot, mostly at high speeds (due to vibrations)or on the not-so-smooth road surfaces.

Not quite a review, but I think this is an excellent response to Consumer Reports' review of the "nightmarish infotainment controls"! ;)

Hi @dhuhtala Do you have 3D gauge cluster and does your rpm changes to side view when you signal right or left ? Thanks

No, I don't have the full digital cluster, but I do have the Blind Spot View feature, yes. As this is a Canadian model, I also have a HUD.

I’m sad he didn’t get to try the 3.5TT. Was fun to see him ogle over the interior again and again
Most of Europe doesn’t get the 3.5 as an option due to emissions regulations unfortunately.

Guess who sits at #1?

But there is still the diesel option for us. The GV70 2.2D 8AT AWD 148 kW (201 hp) diesel and the GV80 even with 3.0D 200 kW (272 hp) AWD diesel

Motor Trend just updated their long term test of the 3.5 GV70:

That's only for the smart park feature, right?
I guess you missed the second part cruskal where the author talks about Sport + Mode…since that seems to be the case, I thoughtfully copy & pasted it for you:

Sport+ For The Win

We've commented much on the GV70's interior and technology, and although we've written plenty about the way it drives, we haven't talked much about its Sport+ drive mode. Most of the time I don't switch out of Comfort mode, which keeps the suspension and steering relaxed, and the transmission and throttle mapping tamed. But Sport+ is a different animal. Traction control is turned off, the steering becomes sharper, the suspension turns firmer, and the transmission makes pronounced shifts. This drive mode makes the commute to work fun and lively, and the exhaust sound will make you think you're driving a sports car instead of a luxury SUV. Upshifts and downshifts are heard and felt inside the cabin, something that's hard to imagine given how smooth they are when Comfort mode is selected. In other words, Sport+ will turn a boring drive into a trip you'll be thrilled to take, and that's hard to do in a car that also aces comfort, luxury, and convenience. But that's another reason why the Genesis GV70 was our 2022 SUV of the Year, even if all of its features aren't entirely useful to everyone all the time.
