I do not know off-hand, but I can measure the distance between the seat bolts vs. the Genesis seat bolts and advise of my findings tomorrow or Saturday if you want.....My dad has a 2012 Azera.
Scottdk - I measured the width of the tracks on a new 2014 Azera drivers seat today while at the dealers getting my 1st oil change at 3223 miles (just getting that 'break-in' oil changed out early since it is a free oil change).
Width to the outside bolt covering plastic clips was 20 1/2 inches (rear). I needed to flip up both plastic bolt covers and measure from bolt to bolt. I had the front plastic clips up, but did not measure from bolt to bolt, but i took a quick picture of the bolts to see if it matches my Genesis sedan.
The seat in the Azera is much better for me than the relatively flat, bolster-lacking Genesis Rspec sedan seat. The side bolsters on the Azera are bigger, and the seat travels closer to the steering
wheel without my knees hitting the start button on the genesis sedan. Due to my spine issues I have to keep the recline further back than most people thus I need to push the seat as close to the steering
wheel as I can, but the right knee hits the 'start button' dash area. The Azera dash is even on both sides of the steering
wheel thus you can move closer to the steering
wheel before the knee hit the dash.
This entire seat issue has not been a fun ordeal. I sure do not want to sell/trade a new Genesis Rspec sedan since it is a really awesome powerful yet quiet well built sedan. But I cannot drive much due to seat and steering
wheel set-up. I drove a nice Lexus GS 350, and its seats are power bolstered and fit great, but no Lexus dealer close by, and the Rspec is still a very strong, well built quiet machine with great warranty and service here. So, trying to figure this out.
If you get around to measuring the length of the seat runners, that would be nice, but I doubt if the seat controls would work since Azera's are located on the door where the Genesis controls are located on the seat. Ummmm. Thanks for your reply scottdk. Regards, Dan.
