If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Yes, the light stays on when driving. It's just on/off by pushing the mood button, and the main lights are still operated with the same buttons as stock.

Looks nice, but, did you take one of those pictures at night and one at day light?
Just curious why one is so bright and one so dark.

Also, how bright is the light? I mean the stock lights are quite bright (almost too much) but are helpful at night when trying to find something..... where as the mood light might be cool but not so helpful when searching for a lost item.

If you could have both the mood light AND the stock light, that'd be awesome :)

I'm pretty sure it has both lights.

Why are you pretty sure?

He says you have to take out one part and put in the new part...... I don't know but sounds like something original comes out and a replacement goes in. j/s

Both pics were at night, but the "daylight" one is just washed out from the flash of my camera. The blue light is not as bright as the map lights, but it gives off a nice soft glow that adds a nice effect. After I installed the new light my wife even commented "Oh, that looks really nice, I didn't know it could do that". The "night" photo with the light on is a little bit more color saturated than what it looks like in real life, but it's still pretty close. The blue is just a bit softer.

As Jutdean said, the map lights and corresponding buttons don't change, the KDM light just adds the blue glowing edge light and changes the label on the rearmost button from "door" to "mood". Other than that it is functionally identical to the US stock light.

Got cha'........ thanks..... sounds like a nice "add-on" but on ebay $209???? Waay beyond what I'd pay for it. Maybe it'll come down in price one day.
Thanks for your help and information.

Hi, do you lose the door functionaliy?

Since the door button => mood button.
So you don't have option to have "all lights on when door is open" mode on this KDM map light?
