Just a question. I have not read all the post in this thread but would like to ask anyway.
If I buy a key card do I have to have the metal key cut to use the card?
Can you just leave the uncut key in the card?

Card doesn’t come with a key. It is a separate purchased part. So you would be left with a hole in card.

You don’t have to have the key cut. Until your battery is dead and you can’t get into the car to open the trunk or hood to jump start or replace the battery.

Can anyone confirm that the battery for keycard model B1000 is a CR2412 3V? Also, has anyone had any luck buying them in store or is online the only place to buy?

FYI - the dealership I go to carries them and if I ask will give me one for free when I am in for a service (oil change etc. ) and charges $9.99 if I go to parts and ask outside of a service appointment.

I was told twice, to bring all my fobs in at my oil changes and they will replace the batteries as part of that service, outside of that service I have to pay for them.

For members that are still interested I ordered the B1000 model keycard and had it programmed today without a problem. After picking up a free battery replace from the dealer it works perfectly. Ordered on eBay from Korea on Dec 8th and it arrived Dec 20th.

2016 ultimate. The parts dept said it would be $60 to program but I didn’t ask the service dept. I used a mobile locksmith and paid $95. The extra $35 was well worth it to me bc the local dealer here is extremely busy; esp on the weekends. I just swept my garage while he worked.

Read through this whole thread and still cant find an answer. Can anyone tell me if the part number B1064-ADU01 will work with my 2015 3.8 Ultimate? The website states that its for 2016 only.

Put your VIN number into the site, that will tell you if it is compatible.

It does not work for 2015. Part # 95443-b1000 is the correct one.

Just got mine programmed at the dealership for 75 bucks. Only issue was they couldn't cut the key, which was fine with me considering I already have a fob. Couldn't believe that most of the local dealership weren't aware of the card. Out of 10 I called only two were confident that they could program it and only one of them would do it for my 2016.

yeah not really surprising. Lexus ahs offered the key for every model since 2012 and I still had dealerships tell me that there was "no such thing", or "not available for my model" even though it was right in front of them in the accessories catalog.

and then programming was a mess with Lexus as well. Many excuses why it couldn't be done.


Had my issues with Genesis/Hyundai as well, dealer who sold it to me told me they couldn't program it. the Card came with programming instructions that were clear and simple, but they refused to read them because "we've programmed hundreds of key fobs" yeah well the instructions are cut and dry that it has to be done a specific way for the smart card. It wasn't until I forced them to read the instructions that they got it to work..

Should the 95443-B1000 work for 2015s? Just went to the dealer and had no luck getting it programmed. They said it showed as 2016 only.
