  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis USA website update?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
No Dealers in Maryland or Delaware either. Very disappointing. I am purchasing in March so I still have a few months. Going to NJ Saturday to check out the inventory and see how I like the car (worried about trunk space). I want to see it because if I am unsure I may buy a stinger some amazing deals on 2018 models.

There are 12 G70's at Jim Ellis Genesis in Atlanta, GA. Here is the link: Genesis Dealer in Atlanta | Genesis G80, G80 Sport, G90 and More

^ sheesh, i really do not understand the US market trim selection by Genesis. we already know the US RWD 6MT trim loses a bunch of goodies as compared to Canada - and is not a true 'Sport' trim example. but when i looked at the link above, even the US 2.0T Sport doesn't get the performance bits that would make it a true Sport.

The US 2.0T Sport package includes:
*Sport Package: $1,000.00
19" Sport Alloy Wheels with Michelin PS4 Summer Tires
Copper Headlight Bezel Accents
Dark Tint Taillight Covers
Dark Chrome Grille & Window Trim
Alloy Pedals
Black Nappa Leather Seating Surfaces with Sport Quilting

aside from the PS4 tires, the US 2.0T Sport package is merely cosmetic features - not performance. what about the LSD, Brembo's, larger sport rotors, sport brake pads, sport exhaust, etc?

It’s all there. Check the USA website configurator.

^ not according to the window sticker or photos of a 2.0T Sport:

New 2019 Genesis G70 For Sale in Atlanta GA | VIN: KMTG44LA6KU013010

the only thing i see different is that the LSD is included as part of the Dynamic package (which is required to get the Sport package, so in a way the Sport does indeed include the LSD). i couldn't find a downloadable US brochure with spec sheet on the US site so it may explain in greater detail. but i still don't see the vented sport rotors F&R, brembos, sport brake pads or sport exhaust mentioned on the configurator???

this photo clearly shows the base braking system:

Update...the 2.0T does not get the Brembo's AT ALL !!!! Only the 6MT RWD does. Fme...that's bad.

^ doesn't look like it for the 2.0T Sport AWD or RWD. good news is the 2.0T RWD 6MT does get most of the performance goodies - but it gets screwed for the Sport appearance and a bunch of other luxury features (except for vented seats which it gets).

like i said, it's just a really odd mixed bag of feature content between trims especially the 2.0T Sport packages which cost $10k USD where you'd expect all the various Sport mechanical/performance bits to be included. i'm used to the CAD market getting hosed on trim selection, but with Genesis it seems they got it (mostly) right for us!

Wow, I thought the sport trims were the same except for the engine sizes. Well damn.

I realized the 2.0T doesn't get the Brembos or painted calipers just yesterday too. It was quite a revelation and interesting to see the same revelation on these forums. My 18' 2.0T Optima has red calipers... I can't believe Genesis doesn't even do that for 2.0T Sport

Wonder when the dingdongs are going to get around to updating their Finance website. What a joke.

Genesis Finance
I'd love to be irritated by this but I haven't even been able to test drive a G70, let alone consider financing one, LOL.
