  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GPS map updates

.... So if you don't like your old maps, trade your car in for a newer model (or pay our outrageous map upgrade fees for newer maps that are that are not actually current, but somewhat newer than what you have).

The situation is absolutely ridiculous, because as posted earlier in this thread, the maps in my 2012 are older than the updated maps I installed in my 2009 late in 2010. As an example, there is a new section of Hwy.15 south of Corning NY that didn't exist in my original 2009 GPS, but the update added it (and many other 'new' roads) to the map database. In my 2012 this road does not exist although some others that were missing in 2009 are shown. You would expect the latest model to have the latest map update available, but obviously that is not the case.

how much did you for the updates?? My dealership quoted ridiculously high 199$(disk )+ 4.5 manhours for scanner time ~ just under 500$... this just does not make any sense, sorry. i am not doing that..

Paid $200 for each update....each one took 4 or 5 hours
