  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have real problem in seeing the Navigation screen during the day. In night driving the screen is too bright. I have tried to use the Auto Mode with no improvement. Have any other Genesis owners experienced this problem? Is there any setting that can improve the brightness or contrast of the screen? Could the Navigation screen have a flaw? Need help.

Hi, personally I usually turn the screen Off at night (using the little button on the far right of the buttons on the lower control panel. Whilst I agree the Settings for the Nav Screen are not great I have had no issues setting them to my requirements.. In bright sunlight the screen can become unreadable, but even my Garmin has some issues in bright sunlight..

Yes, I can't see that the Auto mode is very helpful at night. I ended up using the dimmer in the menu and turning the screen all the way down at night.

Yea thats my only complaint.. Wish they would of built an upper lip that extends about two inches out

I find the same issue with my screen (not tech, just premium), however, I find it is light coming in from the side that causes the washout (and polarized sunglasses)

Thanks to all the nice peoplethat responded to my inquiry on the lousy screen washout on my Genesis. I now understand that is lacking fine tuning capablilties for all light conditions. So far this is the only complaint I have with the car.i Thanks again.

Easy Fix, visit a hobby shop buy a sheet of
black card, cut and fold as per a computer
monitor hood, affix to the vehicle with small
squares of double sided tape..
Works a treat..😃

Another suggestion is to go to a home window tint store and get some free tint samples. Tell them you are considering doing biz with them. Experiment till you find which sample works best. The film should easily "static cling" to the screen surface. Not sure if it will work for the touchscreen premium package vehicles, though.

I wonder if this might help ->
"Tru-Fit HD Anti-Glare film for iPhone 5. It’s a screen protector that utilizes “the highest grade materials and cutting-edge technologies” to provide your iPhone’s Retina display with scratch protection and a matte finish that doesn’t reflect light"
Obviously in a custom cut size............

That might be the best idea. Mounting a "visor" would really look cheap.
